YES! I suck at maintenence, spending so much time getting everything nice, then letting it all go to shit because I get lazy or overwhelmed. I'm really trying this year to maintain!!!

Yes, sometimes we think the new organization will work but I find I need some time to live it before deciding that it actually does or doesn't.

@@Lashlove16 Definitely ask his input if he's one that also likes to do stuff in the kitchen. My husband wanted the can opener in a certain drawer, just because that's where he would look for it. So, as I've changed things over the last 10 years, I've kept the can opener in that same drawer, just for him. Good luck!

I always love the makeovers & so love Stephanie and Cas together they make me laugh when I need one! I am so glad to see I’m not the only one who loved that ghost comment & re-watched it just to laugh. I have sage at my house too! My best friend gave me it a few years ago, to keep away, joking with me, “ this should take care the negative karma after work” (one of my coworkers was so cranky or mean dragging all of us down at work) Miz Crabs left, so it must’ve worked.😆🤣. It’s a running joke to this day whenever someone’s evil to us, just get out the sage when you get home. BFF has given it as gifts to a bunch of our friends. It’s fun to watch them open it and look confused of what it is. Now there’s a group of us that says it works. Definitely sharing Stephanie‘s ghost, with everyone ❤

Feel you. I did something similar last year (4 bedroom to 1 bedroom). I was going to start a resale business so it was packed and I was forced to just donate about a 20' trailer full of stuff. It was really, really hard because all I saw was dollar signs but I had to free myself from that guilt and just let it go. I just passed my first year in the 1 bedroom and I'm still getting rid of stuff. For me, I find I can do big purges when there is way too much but for the rest, I just had to move it and slowly work on it. My newest secret is buying one of those .99 bags from Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or Homegoods, in a pattern that is cute but not my favorite (prevents me from wanting to keep it), and when it is full I just donate the whole thing. I've literally gotten rid of 3 bag fulls in the past 2 months. Yes, I spent $3 to make that happen but the reward definitely outweighs the expense. Because they are cute I can leave it sitting out and when I go to put something away sometimes it goes in the get rid of instead of back where it came from. It has probably helped me more than any other idea I've ever tried other than my turning hangers backward so I know what clothes I didn't wear during a season. Best of luck.

I’ve got the exact same situation. I have a tendency to try to get her to microorganise and then realize what I’m doing. It’s a struggle for me to go opposite to my organizing style. And her closet doors are always open. Does your daughter do that? She says she’ll forget about it if she doesn’t see it. She also has ADHD

@@wewemcrhyne She doesn't have any doors to her closet! So, everything is out in the open for all to see mess and all, which is why she keeps her bedroom door closed at all times. And if she can't see "it" (whatever it is) she doesn't know that it's there!
