Hey Cas, So, I'm a single senior 65+ years old with ADHD. I reached level 5 maybe a month ago. Decluttering was so hard, but I went to my famly and friends and just told them what I intended to do and why. Then, I began. My 750 sq.ft 3rd floor apartment was packed full. While, I am not done, the end is in sight. Thank you for your videos.😊

I wish I still had the quiet. It only lasted a few days. The meds keep me functional, so I take them daily. But I don’t get the quiet anymore.

Finally, someone getting real. I love your common sense. Organize for function! Yes! I appreciate you’re being real and support. ❤ and thank you for reminding me I should organize what I need, not the junk.

Today it's important not to keep car keys near the front door. Car thieves can hack the key to start the car and drive it off. Keep keys several yards back from the front of the house!

I absolutely LOVE tip #1. My van has an issue with the electric locks, sometimes locking me out. I learned to ALWAYS carry my spare key on a satin hair holder that fits perfectly on my wrist, when i'm out running errands. (Three of those plastic coils broke, but so far no problem with the hair holder) So the hack with the tags & coils are right up my alley. Right now i need one in the bathroom as my cat loves drinking water out of the tub faucet and alot of times i forget to go back to turn it off. Another one is my washer & dryer dont have the times up buzzers on them so i dont know when they are finished and i'll forget for a couple days that theres laundry in them. The coil & tag would be a much better reminder than the timer i sometimes use. Tyfs, Cass 🥰

I have never been medicated for adhd. My mom was pressured by the dr when I was young but refused for me. I am so thankful she because I have used strategies such as in this video and other Clutterbug videos. It’s so rewarding to find something that works for me and discovering it works for others as well. Quieting your mind just takes a bit more effort for our brains and that’s ok. It’s empowering to have overcome the struggles whether on your own. ❤

Love the idea of eat the ice cream when it comes to to-do list/tasks. I am finding that hourly schedules or schedules might not work for me. So this idea and ideas like Diane in Denmark giving four self-care assignments to choose from in her Friday videos, and JashiiCorrin video about self-care bingo are helpful for me!

Best purse tip I've heard is to put your odds and ends that you always want - tiny first aid kid, tampons, nail kit, Swiss army knife, etc into a small zip pouch. Then you can swap out your purse easily and you only need to sort what's left when you pull it out - not constantly resorting the important stuff from the clutter

Maybe try some quicky Journaling of what worked and didn't work for a few days after the changes in dosages. Nothing lengthy. Just as a tool to check in with yourself and share with doc as appropriate. ❤

I LOVE my "to do" lists! I also love ice cream! I ALSO add stuff I did, that wasn't on the list, just to cross it off! That feeling of completing a task and SEEING it crossed off is so motivating!

"Eat the ice cream" - I am HERE for that!!! Plus, I totally do that, too! If the frog is first, I will never get off the couch! But, get that first hit of dopamine from that first thing checked off the list, and I'm ready for MORE!

When I went back on meds a couple years ago for my anxiety / panic attacks / ADHD it was full crazy pants until things got normalized. One med had my brain running in more overdrive than ever and another there was so much quiet it freaked me out. We've had these diseases for so long that we're used to the speed our brain's go so it's hard to adjust. My brain stills runs really fast with "voices" running thru it, but now that my meds are regulated I can "hear" everything - still working on getting plans rolling along properly but the meds have definitely helped.

I'm a BEE!!!! living in a small space. it looks messy to everyone else. but to me, it's organized. When i researched my husbands family, i found out the tree goes back to king Henry viii and his mistress catherine. My side farmed manhattan island in the 1600's. fascinating stuff.

Cass, my brain stopped "all the thoughts" after my meds, too. I was so creative before.... I hate the "non creative, empty head" feeling, but also love that I don't freak out at the drop of a pin... there MUST be a balance, somewhere? I haven't found it yet.

For chewable iron, try Bariatric Advantage iron. It's not a gummy but is chewable. Easy to take and works well, easy to absorb.

I also use listening to audible books/podcasts to keep the brain focused on my current task instead of from frenetic problem solving. Also use them to fall asleep. If I don’t, my brain moves onto solving ALL the world’s problems. 😂

I feel like ADHD can and often is hard on the whole family (to an extent). I've raised 2 boys with ADHD, and I'm currently raising a grandson (6 years old) with ADHD and Autism. I truly believe my husband also has ADD. I don't think I have ADD or ADHD but I do know that I have OCD. WOW, we're just a family of acronyms - LOL. I think it's hard on family members who might not have ADHD because of their energy levels. I often find myself exhausted trying to help and teach my grandson to handle his ADHD. There have been times when I'm so exhausted that I actually get depressed which in turn puts me into a death spiral in regards to tidying and cleaning my house. Cas, your videos help break me out of that depression at times and help to motivate me to just get up and do 1 thing. Most days that 1 thing snowballs and I do more than just 1 thing. However, there are days when it is a real struggle just to get that 1 thing done. What I'm trying to say is that I love your videos - every quirky, weird, all-over-the-place minute of them. I hope you know how many people you truly help with your videos. I'm one. Thanks!
