Improvements in an adult's language skills are very interesting to watch, and it's great to capture the progress, not only for your viewers, but also for you two to look back on. Since I am not able to understand any Japanese it almost feels like Tommy is _materializing_ as a person in front of us. It's an amazing thing to watch, really.

Housing costs are getting out of control. Average rent is $2000 in the Worcester, MA. area. Plus to buy a small house that was $120,000 15 years ago, would now cost over $400,000!!!! Though I am lucky to live in a nearby small town, in a house I inherited. I would struggle to afford rent or a mortgage on my monthly income. Congratulations on 1 million subscribers! Glad I could be a part of your wonderful accomplishment. Love the new apartment. Hope you are comfortable and happy in your new living quarters. Off to help out Drew. 😁

In capital of Romania, 2 room apartment (living room - bedroom + kitchen + bathroom) has a rent of only 250-300 euros. And in the capital the salaries are above 1000 euros if you have a decent career. In the west things are out of control regarding rent. I don't know how you guys are surviving !!

I live in an 88 sqm apartment 1 hours outside Copenhagen in Denmark and I pay $550 a month inc all utilities with parking and laundry in the basement

I'm happy for the 1 million subs. But wouldn't it be better do get a private house for that amount outside of Tokyo? 🤔 Surely, it's cheaper, right? I could be wrong. Correct me on that. For 1 mil $, I could build 10x houses for that amount where I'm from. 😀

My thoughts exactly. There are so many beautiful houses in Japan for 1/10 of the price. I guess it's an American thing to get everything in XL size. Where I live a 60m2 flat is considered pretty spacious. My brother and I were brought up in a 48m2 flat and if we had one more room of 10 -12 m2 that would be the dream come true. I guess to each their own.

Holy cow! The size of apartments in Tokyo is such a shock! I live in Ohio on Lake Erie and I have two large bedrooms,two baths,living room,dining room and kitchen.
