Origami Jumping Cricket

5 жыл бұрынHow to fold a Jumping Cricket from one square sheet of paper no cutting or taping. Designing this model was a response to Brian Play 2 Gamer's livestream comment: "If you are really an origami professional can you show us how to make a jumping cricket?"
Well, Brian, was I able to answer your question?😉
To fold this model I recommend using 6-inch kami, but I think printer paper cut square would also work well.

I am 9 years old. When I saw the model I thought I would not be able to fold it. But, I found it quite easy and my model looks amazing!

It isn't a problem I design really complex designs and If I have rectangle I fold the diagonal and cut it in to a square no ruler needed

This is great for the guy that tends bar in my neighborhood. He loves origami across the bar. I can't afford to go to this pub but, the bartender gave me a few samples so I drop off origami for them. There the nicest group in my neighborhood. Thanks Jeremy.

Now that's what Jeremy Shafer's level origami model I was waiting for this kind of model since the beginning there are many channels who teaches making origami insects but the way u teach makes it 100% easier

I mean what!? How do you design these models? Is it like you take a look and do some random folds until you get it right? How do you figure out the basic starting folds and how do you get the main foundations (Falps) on which you further folds and mold and make a masterpiece!? I am so curious about these kind of inventions

Usually it takes me many attempts, each attempt gradually evolving to a better design, but this one.... miraculously I pretty much got it on the first try! A few little adjustments and shaping and, POOF, it was ready to teach!
