The title of the painting that Jin was looking at is "The Fall of the Rebel Angels". This was painted in1562 by the Netherlandish Renaissance artist, Pieter Bruegel the Elder. The Fall of Rebel Angels depicts Lucifer along with the other fallen angels that have been banished from heaven. The painting symbolizes the conflict between good and evil as well as vice and virtue.

Thank you so much, I always believed it was a Heronymous Bosch painting from his series, The 9 Circles of Hell. It actually feels really good to be corrected. Thank you so much again.

All the MVs are well done, but some (including this) are masterpieces. Everything means something. I used to have a spreadsheet to keep up with all the hints, the repeating items, what MVs they were from, etc... there were multiple groups of us from all over the world who would research into all kinds of things to get the meaning. It was a fun time, and I still have friends from then that I keep in touch with.

hahah spreadsheet 💜😭 seriously man with the quality of music and lyricism of bts, the multifaceted mvs, the twist and turns of the plots of the BU, the stories, topics and complicated albeit weirdly fun games in run bts, etc... I truthfully say that all armys and I mean ALL armys are in someway or some degree really intellectuals honest truly no cap... right? yeah I'm sure I'm right hehehe

Blood, Sweat and Tears is a masterpiece because it it not just a story but it makes you do research. If I was a teacher/professor,I would ask my students to do reach on this . Why, when and where. It would enable them to love research rather than HAVE to do it. My next request for them would be IDOL….then….what would be your guess? Love BTS!!!!!

My father was a scenic artist in Hollywood for more than 45 years. He was freelance. His art was truly amazing. You have most likely seen his art multiple times. He even did "Star Wars!" Michael Jackson, music videos, Billy Jean, Black and White, Bad, and even 0ne of his pepsi commercials (not the one where his hair caught fire). Fleetwood Mac "7 wonders, one of "Cher's album covers." This is just a few. He passed in 2017. He would have loved this!!! Love the way you think because he did the same thing!!! He was old school, did glass mats. Hand painted marble, a lost art!! When you talked about the set, it reminded me. Back then they always built the sets inside most of the time. We did a movie called, "Invaders from Mars and it was after the twightlight movie, where actors got killed during a helicopter scene. Kids were no longer able to shoot scenes outside after dark. So we built the entire farm house indoors so the kid actors could shoot the night scenes! The backing for that movie was 30 feet high by 300 feet long! My father had a camera 's eye, he could start anywhere and stay in perspective!! That is when I truly knew that my father was an artist!! I was in awe! He used an old broom stick handle tide a piece of charcoal to the end of it and stood back and started to schetch on the backing where he wanted things to go! Me I draw stick people, lol. Sorry for the long winded story. Like I said you remind me of him and his passion for his craft!!

I know you have special interest in the shooting sketch but I think you should add the explanation videos also. They enhance the shooting sketches by leaps and bounds because it gives answers to some of the questions as to why the director made the choices he made during filming. There are so many "Easter eggs " both large and small that must be subtly filmed around without it being obvious. This MV is chock full of little gifts that once they are pointed out you will know the depth you must pay attention to detail to get the entire picture and message that is embedded .

There have been several masters level thesis' written about this video. The symbolism, metaphor, conflict, ethics, etc etc are unbelievable. It also references the book, "Demian" by Hermann Hesse. I could go on. You should watch it Frame by Frame and look at Everything in the background, even more than the dancing. (RM doesn't have an IQ of 148 for nothing!) See Army's list of art work elsewhere in these comments. (Thank you for that, by the way)

Another great reaction. It is funny to see Jeff almost speechless. I wanted to contribute a few insights into some of the art and symbolism in the MV. (I'd have to write 50 pages to cover it all and do it justice, so I'll just hit a few of them.) As most Army know this album and this song was inspired by the novel: 'Demian: The Story of Emil Sinclair's Youth' by Herman Hesse. The quotes read by RM in the Wings short films and in this MV are from Demian. Jeff stopped early on in "room one" of the museum to take in the painting that Jin was looking at alone. The painting is 'The Fall of the Rebel Angels' by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. In it the fallen angels are depicted as half human and half animal and half human and half demon. The first introduction to the fallen angel them of this MV. The classical piece of music that plays in the background at this moment is Bach's 'Mass in B minor'. In the next room where everyone is gathered together, in the background there is a neon sign with English writing. Only part of it shows, but I think it says: "The Tempter" which would tie in with the quote from 'Demian' that RM recites in the MV. The green liquid appears to be Absinthe, also known as the "green fairy". It's a hallucinogenic alcohol. It's prepared by putting a spoon over a glass of Absinthe and melting a sugar cube into it. It was believed to inspire great creativity in artists. It also suggests that at least part of the time what the members are seeing and feeling maybe influenced by this drug. When V is sitting on the edge of the balcony the painting in front of him that was Green Screened is 'Landscape with the Fall of Icarus'. When Suga finally plays the organ in that beautiful scene with the sculpture, he is playing Passacaglia in D minor by Buxtehude. This exact piece of music is described in Demian. Remember the quote that we hear RM recite in the "red scene" with the balloon? The quote is also from Demian and it is: "He too was a tempter; he, too, was a link to the second [world], the evil world with which I no longer wanted to have anything to do." There is the scene of Jin in front of a mirror. Above the mirror is another quote, written in German, which we only see briefly. It was written by Friedrich Nietzsche and translates to: "You still have to have Chaos inside you in order to be able to give birth to a dancing star." Finally, when Jin looks into the mirror, his own face is falling apart. This ties into the quote above the mirror. No one is truly pure, there must be chaos in order to achieve greatness. In order to fly. For anyone who is geeky enough and wanting to know far more detail about the visual symbolism and art found in the MV, I HIGHLY recommend the essay written about the art and symbolism in the MV by writer Thilde Kold Holdt: "Blood Sweat & Tears Symbolism". She is a real Army and also is fluent in Korean. Her fantasy novels are really great! You can find her essay here: www.thildekoldholdt.com/post/2016/10/10/thoery-blood-sweat-tears-symbolism I hope this provides some context and answers some lingering questions Jeff and others might have about this most amazing MV. A masterpiece.

Thank you Jeff (and to Taylor ! ) for taking us on your journey of learning more of the intricacies that go into the making of these videos.

Just in case of confusion (because I'd like to see that too) you mean Run BTS, the variety show, not Run the song 😁 There are a couple of episodes where JK seriously outruns his camera person! And one where V makes the staff part of his roleplay. I'm not sure any of it would really hit what Jeff is watching for, but it's fun... Maybe the zombies one? 🤣
