Orlando Florida Travel Day Vlog | Virgin Atlantic MANCHESTER - MCO | Disney World & Coronado Springs

Hi I'm Andrew, joined by my eldest daughter Ava & welcome to our Florida Travel Day Vlog for our NEW 2023 Disney World Orlando Florida Vlog Series! Join us on our Travel Day from Manchester UK to Orlando Florida & Walt Disney World Resort for 10 Days of Fun, Sun and world class attractions! Get ready for your 2024 Holiday/Vacation by checking out our Travel Day to Orlando!
Upon arrival to Orlando, we'll be boarding the "Mears Connect Driven By Sunshine" airport transfer (silly long name, but great service) and checking in to Walt Disney World's Coronado Springs Resort (in the Animal Kingdom resort area) for 7 nights before transferring to the Swan Hotel (found in the Epcot Resort area) for 3 nights. No car for us this time, we're going full Disney Transport only - let's see how that works out for us!
Oh yeah, and we get our first taste of the Orlando weather for this trip in the form of heat and of course a massive thunder storm! It's good to be back.

Love these videos - have watched nearly all of them now! Ah Disney…can’t wait to be back in a few months! Staying near Disney Springs at the Wyndham and can’t wait. It’ll always be Downtown Disney to me. It was DTD on my first trip in the late 90s and it’ll always be that haha. I still miss DisneyQuest! Lol

Just found you, I went in sept too, we paid extra for economy delight seats, was worth it as my son is 6ft tall and we felt flight was a breeze. And I do like a window seat. I’ll try and catch up now with your vlogs👍🏻 although we are more fans of universal and IOA.

Hi @adelejones5059, thanks for watching the video😃 we love Universal too but as you may know we didn’t visit on this particular trip, we’ll be back next time for sure though! The plane seats were a mistake on my part, I’ve flown everything from upper class to economy on Virgin and I just forgot how little leg room standard economy has. The best of it was I could have upgraded to economy delight for something like £50 each and didn’t do it, because I’m mad clearly 🤣 I’m 6ft tall also and have found economy delight much more comfortable, I will be paying the extra in future😃

Florida lightning in the summer can be dangerous. I'm careful walking around outside when there is lightning.

Can I ask what your flight times were? What sort of time did you get to Orlando? 😊

Hi @amyhurdle6384, we were on the later flight out of Manchester, it think it was 1:45 pm (uk time) if memory serves me. So we landed in Orlando around 5:45pm local time. Hope this helps and thanks for watching😀

What a special trip with Ava. So many great tips too. We are debating whether to go to Disney world or Disney land. Is there any reason why you always choose Florida?

Hi Olivia, glad you're enjoying the vlog there's much more to come over the next few weeks! There are a couple of reasons why we've always chosen Florida, 1. The flight is shorter (although still quite long) 2. There are more Disney Parks (4 vs the 2 in California) and 3. My parents have owned a home in Orlando for the last 20 years so I've always had somewhere to call home from home. That being said they no longer have their Villa so I'll be exploring a little more, perhaps even California in the future, who knows?! Thanks for watching 😀

Interesting blog. Whats the camera you using? I like Virgin Atlantic, but never fly economy basically because of leg room. I have considered that resort but stayed at Port Orleans Riverside last time.

Hi @David-fx3fj thanks for watching! The camera I used (mainly) on the vlog was the Sony ZVE1 using the Sony G Master 14mm f 1.8 lens. To be fair we do not usually fly economy either, however the flight was extremely full and they were the only seats available, plus they were CHEAP 🤣 They were a little cramped for me but then again I'm a pretty big guy. My daughter thought they were fine for her however. Port Orleans Riverside looks lovely, when I booking this trip I did check it out but the deal on Coronado Springs was too good so we went with that, it's a nice resort. Thanks again for watching.
