Today we are unboxing a new RC project for this channel! Yes, the RX28 project isn't done yet, and DriftArt 2.6 EX is still in the box.
This is the Orlandoo Hunter OH32X02, an 1:32 scale 2WD trophy truck. It's tiny and you know I love tiny RC cars. From what I've gathered so far, the parts are smaller than expected, and the build is quite challenging.
The kit itself doesn't include electronics. To make things easier when I need to pack everything into the truck, I bought the recommended OEM electronics. This is the 3000RPM NR3000-B brushed motor with gearbox. Supposedly this is plenty fast for this little truck. To go with the motor is this TS0002-B ESC, which includes a voltage step down for the servo, as well as pins for LED. It connects to a receiver using JR connectors. I will build this with a Radiolink R4FGM. Next is the AS0022 2.2g servo. It's very small and I have a feeling this is going to be the weak link of the truck.
I also picked up spare suspension arms, knuckles, and links even though I have no idea if these parts are fragile or not. They were quite inexpensive anyway so might as well keep some in the drawer.
I also bought some upgrade parts. The first one here is the MX0063 alloy servo saver. Out of the box, the chassis does not include a saver. The servo likely needs this protection, but will it become too soft?
This cute little drive shaft is the MD3-375. It's supposed to replace the plastic shaft connecting from the gear box to the rear axle.
The next upgrade part is even cuter. This is the MG2-560 alloy gear differential. The stock car comes with a solid axle. Supposedly the handling and turning circle are still fine, but when I saw this tiny diff, I had to get one.
I also got the upgraded alloy shocks (x4) and dampers (x4). These are part ME3-290X-GY and ME3-380X-GY.
I wanted to have an extra set of tires with a different tread pattern, so I bought some alloy rims. Like all the other parts so far, they feel high quality. The extra tires I got are the pin type used on the rock bouncer model. The foams on the left will go into the tires.
Let's open the box and see what's included in the kit. The box art and design are quite tasteful. While not elaborate, everything is cleanly laid out. We have some stickers for the body. There are also some panels for the chassis cage. That's the logo of Orlandoo Hunter. These stickers seem too large for the 1:32 truck, so I guess these can go on a laptop. I haven't read through the manual yet but it's quite thick and well printed. The text is in both Chinese and English.
Here are the standard tires and foams for this trophy truck model. The tread pattern is suitable for pavement. The kit comes with 6 full size tires, which is quite nice. Two of them will sit on the truck bed.
I ordered the blue pre-painted version. They also offer a red version as well as a clear body. Not shown here is the chassis cage packed under the lexan body. Thankfully the cage has been pre-built.
There are several more bags of parts. This one has the rear axle, hubs, and rear suspension components.
This bag contains a ton of microscopic hardware. I'm used to 1:28 scale but I'm still impressed by how tiny things are here.
I'm not sure what the silver tube thing is for. Is it a pin vise to help with building turnbuckles?
This B bag contains interior dashboards and exterior decorative parts like a gas can and traction boards.
Finally I see quite a number of turnbuckles, front suspension arms, bearings, ball studs, and some other bits.
