Paul Wilson in your scenery packs.ini folder you have to move the orthophoto name all the way to the bottom just copy and paste it to the bottom and then the buildings will show not all but most

@@mementomori6534 You must define a overlay directory in the settings window of Ortho4XP (where you can set scenery parameters).

i appreciate ur help, i got the yOrtho folder in place(in the custom scenery folder) but in the final step when i go into the notepad my z and y Orthos arent there. plz help

Crassch you only need to type the zortho4xp don’t type in the overlays one or you don’t need to type it in at all cause I didn’t mess with the note pad step everything still work fine no problem at all even with the 3rd party scenery

In your custom scenery folder you have an other folder called "scenery_packs.ini", open it and make sure your orthophotos are on the BOTTOM of the list and that your overlays are ABOVE them. It will make the 3D objects appear normally :)

The FlightSim Boy This is in my scenery_packs: SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery / yOrtho4XP_Overlays / SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery / zOrtho4XP_+47-123 / Am I missing anything? Cause I see he has a second zOrtho_(Coordinates)

That's the overlays, have you done the overlay steps? It is possible you'll get an error but I'll help you get through it😉

@@YoungPilotOfficial Hmm, jes I went into world map and hit "extract overlays". Before that I selected the newly created zOrtho4XP_+48+011 as the custom_overlay_src in the settings windows in Ortho4XP... I copied the yOrtho4XP_Overlays in the X Plane 11 directory under custom scenery and done. But no houses?

Euhm normally there should be buildings, have you set the y_overlays.. in your scenery.ini folder?

In your main window, you can see a "base folder" window. Their you need to assign it to the "Earth Nav Data" I believe you can find that folder in the "Global Scenery " folder in X-plane 11. Finally it should look like this: Base folder: .../Global scenery/Earth Nav Data/ Then try again to do the overlay, you don't need to do the entire tile again. Hope it works out mate!😉

Instead of setting the inner tiles with red squares(lvl 19) then fill it with lvl 17 tiles. That's all😉

I believe there is an option in the world or ZL window that says:(do whole tile) . You can select multiple yellow tiles and then hit that button. But this is going to take wayyyy longer, I've once done 4 tiles at the same time, and it took my computer 15 hrs. But it was worth it in the end 😉.

Sorry for the waiting, have you set your base folder to the "folder" Custom scenery? It has to be the folder itself, not inside the folder. Thanks for the comment mate!😉 Hope it works out!

I'm not using python and it works fine. But if you are adding HD Mesh , maybe you'll need python. But creating more mesh is slowing down x-plane's performance. So I find Ortho on it's own really good.😉

the ortho that needed python is outdated. The publishers have released an easier way to install

Try double clicking for the yellow squares, and shift right/left click for the red squares. 😉

When you installed X-plane, did you install the global scenery? (the whole world)
