Bro, i have the same Wipro plug to check the wattage and i use a 1.5 ton inverter AC. If I set my temperature to 27-28. My wattage after 10-12 hours of usage is 2-3 units. Trust me, 28 is cool enough that you require blanket after 1-2 hours of turning it on. That's because AC not only decreases the temperature. It also decreases Humidity. Humidity is the main thing we want to decrease. Not the temperature. My humidity goes down from 78% to 23% in an hour or so. Temperature if I set to 28, it would still be between 25-26 because I have a Humidity and temperature reading machine in my room. In your case, it's trying to achieve 26. But, it might be 27 or 28 degree as it's running in 40%. In my AC, i have seen it running under 30 watts. Yes, 30 WATTS, not a typing mistake which is lesser than a ceiling fan. So, this Kind of AC is useless paying extra money. Just get an inverter AC. That's more than enough.
