Wargames Atlantic is building up a nice plastic Napoleonic line. They also have some giant spiders and lizard men that may work for this game.

With plenty of Napoleonic figures out there I am looking forward to the themed horror releases. I've already painted some Austrians for a Transylvanian theme. Fyi.. in folklore salt can be used vs zombies and sometimes a barrier to demons, and marbled paper was common in books at the time.

Hope there is a nation uniform painting guide somewhere in the book. Looks to be another popular game in the tradition of Frostgrave and Stargrave.

I wonder if I can find some American 1812 troops and shoehorn them into the game? Also forget the uniform rule! I will find historical unit uniforms and paint them up as if they're from various units put together for this mission and such.

Uuu, Exciting!!! I love Frostgrave and Rangers of Shadows Deep. Bought Stargrave but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. This seams very interesting, I've never played anything set in this time period so it'll get me to look up some new mini's.

Ah drat - when you discussed the army list page, the Austrian list wasn't shown. I came back to re-watch the vid tonight to see if how many of Eureka's Tyrolean Rebel type figures would be an easy fit into the list. They have always looked like perfect vampire hunters!

The 'microscope' look you were talking about was actually something that was done a lot in 18th and 19th century books! It's called paper marbling. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_marbling I saw a lot of it during my time as a history student in university!

@@paulmiddleton8487 They used to, but looks like they do not any more, just a standard box of 95th rifles (so at least there is that). However when trying to find what happened to them, I ran into Wargames Atlantic's plastic British Riflemen box comes with a volley gun, so you can have Harper there. The rest of Sharpe's merry band of miscreants mostly had standard gear, other than Sharpe's cavalry sword (and easy swap on plastic, or, as it is small, and no one will notice, don't swap), and you have them.

There is a book that I completely forget the name of at the moment, but it is about vampires in Moscow after the French army occupies the city. It was a very good book in my opinion.

Useful review. Not sure I can use my Flintloque stuff as hoped. Need specialist characters not just dudes with muskets.

@@olympiangamers7007 You can find bits out there with exactly those pieces. Plastics are very modular. Not every game needs an "official" model line. Before Games Workshop, games never had official models and you would use whatever you wanted. People need to get away from the GW way of thinking.

I'm not sure there's ever been standard sized books and *looks at rulesets collected on my shelf* especially not when it comes to wargaming!

@@jambot4621 Osprey used to have a very defined set of rules to the sizes of their books. Some authors had difficulties with the maximum amountbof pages, which is partly why most Osprey games have almost no fluff.
