Luka! Thank you for the dice rant!! I face similar judgment in my local gaming group for "warlocked dice" and have gotten numerous sets just to push back on the notion. GW dice always roll hot for me, and I have used anything from generic monopoly dice to dozens of chessex. As Skari says, for every six you roll you get a one down the line!

Luka, please read rule 14.2.1 it explains how returning models work. They must be setup within 1" of a model that was not returned that phase. 14.2 Says you don't remove the model from play until you've resolved the damage to the unit. I think a lot of people are getting this interaction incorrect. I'm interested to see if they will put this in the FAQ when it comes out.

yes thats correct so if the unit is wiped u dnt get to roll for the harvester because they are removed together

@@zacsindelar4563 i would say they do. You remove model, roll. Put model in place. Then remove next model, roll, put in place. Repeat until last model is removed. , Hell you two might have made rule more powerfull as if you do 30 damage to 20 1w models the 10 damage won't overspill to Resurected models as damage allocated before remove models(where repair happens)

Remember model removal is one at time and harvester is after model removal. Technically fight on death is 1 model at a time but resolving 10 invividual hit-wound-save sequence slow so people often buff fight on death and combo them

And because all models are removed from play all at the same time, after they are removed, there does not exist a unit to target for Gothizzar's ability.

@@bakuchidancer 14.2 A slain model isn't removed until all attacks on the unit have been resolved. I'm pretty confident if you wipe a unit of mortek through their wards, there is no unit to return to. It doesn't happen often, but it can definitely happen. Also attacking with multiple units into mortek is an easy way to remove them because they can't set them back up next to a model that was already returned this turn. 14.2.1

Hey guys. Luca just check shield wall mate, it prevents changes to save both positive and negative, so you can't use it to stack with mystic shield. Same as ethereal! 😁

I don't really read the comments on these videos so I don't see how bad it is. But it does genuinely surprise me that anyone dislikes luka or skari. You guys are my favorite 2 hosts if I'm totally honest. I live the goofy tangents and streams of conciousness. You guys are playing a game afterall. Having fun is kind of the point. Some banter comes with that.

On the topic of Warspawned VS Regular Kroxigors; Warspawned also get +1 Attack if a Skink dies near them, and on that note Bastilidons and Stegadons both have the Skink keyword.

Just as a sugestion bringing raptadon chargers would better than the hunters on there own unfortunetly the hunters are only usefull unles you have two squads of chargers because of all out attack affecting all the chargers attacks not just the skinks attacks

Do bone reapers not take battleshock? I didn't see it come up despite losing losts of models. As I understand it the returned models still count as dead when counting battleshock. I could be wrong as I do not play OSB

also, as noted below, all damage is allocated, then models removed, so you roll to return models after the unit is already destroyed and cannot return models to that unit, there's no "one by one" roll anymore.

For skari, Maim and Tear isn't "how many wounds were allocated in this phase" or anything. It's just how much damage the guy has on him. If someone has 6 wounds on him, you'd roll 6 dice, whether they were allocated this round or another. It's useless for 1 wound infantry because they don't have any damage allocated. It's an anti-monster thing. And the basti rampage doesn't fail on a 1.

Keep in mind that slain models are removed all at once in 3rd edition (in accordance with core rule 14.2). Wiping a unit of Mortek Guard means that none of them get to return from the Harvester. A lot of more casual players are getting this very wrong.

Luka, if you're gonna do Roman Legion you may as well Play the Old Dominion in Conquest. Or use them as Bone Reapers in AoS if you are gonna do the Cohort/Century thing.

The people complaining about the dice and saying about cheating that's honestly hilarious. When you roll dice guess what all the dice are going to show a number and sometimes it's the same number as other dice. I know that's a wild concept but maybe go play Yahtzee and see what happens.

So with the Harvester, you remove the slain models altogether in 3e after the wounds have all been allocated. If more unmitigated wounds have been put onto a unit Mortek than total wounds they have, the Harvester never gets to trigger, the Mortek just die. Slain models being removed one by one changed in 3e which unfortunately makes the harvester a good bit worse than how it was in 2e.

The Harvester triggers, it just can't return units to the wiped out unit, but could heal itself or another unit.

@@Waywardpaladin except models are removed and returned one at a time. Thus before last model is removed all previous models have been rolled and resurected. Only last model in unit can't be rolled(well you can but no legal position to put model back)

@@---dn1fl see rule 1.3, a unit is not "destroyed" until all models are removed from play. A unit is not destroyed when all models are slain, thus as written, if mortek take over damage all excess damage is negated and you can remove 1 at a time and return to the same mortek unit.

@@al_s93 unfortunately not true any more. Slain models are removed altogether after wounds have been allocated. The harvester triggers after the slain models are removed, and there is no Mortek unit to select to return units to. (1.2.2 and 14.2)

I feel like I want to like the bonereapers but they aren't actually skeletons. Like the lack of a real skeleton army is what's stopping me from caring about AoS. Like even Necrons are more proper skeletons than the bone reapers. Like If they had more models that looked like skeletons rather than just random golems and constructs it's be way more interesting to me. Like with the Tomb Kings they constructs all were covered in bones. The only thing "bone" about most bonereaper models is their paint job

Thanks for the content. I have to say I am not a huge fan of how many CP they are giving some armies lately so they can do all the things. Also, Death armies still don't seem very fun to play against and that makes me sad. :(

@@daemonnexusknightthey’re the faction that made AoS 3.0, and then got all their abilities stolen and built into the core of the game. So this army is a near perfect book. They’re supposed to be super tough and as they start to crumble they start to struggle. It’s probably the most tactical book in the game. It’s so fun, and nice that they finally are playable in 3.0. And they made it where you can’t multi use the generic commands.

every non star list with kroak are cooler for me since i love dinosaurs more than magic frogs, but sadly on this book everything outside those kroak lists are a bit underwhelming, and dont even think on spaming dinosaurs like stegadons,carnos or bastis, or game would end pretty fast :(

I wonder how the returning models situation works with the Mortek guard in relation to the core rules? You know like when you return models they have to be within an inch of a model that hasn't been slain in the same phase.. sounds like too much to have to think about when playing Mortek 🫠
