What does the (other) in Google Analytics 4 report mean? In this video I will explain the reasons and possible workarounds.
Also, you will learn how to avoid (other) in the future.

Hi Julius - not sure if I'm being thick, but the Page Location dimension isn't there as standard in my pages & screens report, and when I add it in - it just comes back with 0 data (not even 'not set'). Any ideas why this might be happening? I want to ensure I'm excluding query parameters from my paid ads traffic...

Do you have any resources on how ad blockers, declining cookies, and other privacy settings impact how GA4 records and measures events and data? I"m seeing some strong evidence in my sites that they record 0 transactions when installed.

What about the GA4 API, like for the Looker Studio connector - does it also have the same cardinality limits as the GA4 Reports?

Thank you Julius! What could be a maximum value for Google consider cardinality in the dimensions and metrics?? 30 it wil be too much? I'm asking this because I'm trying to find out in LS the number of "New users" only for part of a website. To do that I'm using a custom dimension "host_owner" that will assume maximum like 20-30 values. But I'm getting a line with: hostname - (other) hostowner - (other) active users - 1M new users - 214k

I often see a value called (not set) when looking at what city people are viewing from. Is that caused by the same reasons as (other).

Great video on high cardinality! However, I’m not sure using GTM to overcome it is a good idea. If we use GTM to remove URL parameters then we won’t pass the traffic source information coming through auto tagging or utm parameters.
