We all know people are more likely to leave a less-than-kind comment than a nice one right? Well, this happened to me yesterday and here is my response, to a certain extent!
I say to a certain extent because I am only speaking from a point of compassion and trying not to be offensive in any way to the commenter because I don't know what they're going through and would never want to cause upset. I believe kindness and compassion bring way more into the world than the opposite. But equally, I will not allow someone to think they can take my power away by being rude. Part of the comment suggested that I talk too much, and YES I do! I'm a chatty person and I'm very open about this and is something I've done a lot of work on accepting and building a strong mindset around.
When you have a business of any sort you are putting yourself out there and people will ridicule you. They will make personal comments and it's up to you to grow yourself and your mindset to stop those people from being able to hold power over you.
I think the big takeaway is to remember that not everyone is for everyone and it's okay to just carry on with your day without being rude to someone. Also, remember that you don't know what someone is going through and your comment could be quite damaging, which ain't cool mate.
