Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.

I've been watching a ton of your videos while on maternity leave with my 3-week-old, and they've been giving me a great laugh when all I want to do is cry. We're working through some breastfeeding issues and near-constant fussiness, but this video helped bring me back to that feeling of pure innocence when you meet your new baby for the first time. I know I'm late to the party, but congratulations on this little bundle and thank you for your honest yet entertaining glimpse into parenthood.

Awesome! He came quickly. Similar to my second pregnancy. I was induced, and in about 4 hours BAM we had a baby boy! Otto has a lot of hair! He's adorable.

I am a midwife and I just loved your birth story. I went out with my husband in his 1971 International Harvester Scout to induce labor. It didn't work, but nevermind that. When you said, it's a 1992. What could go wrong? Lost it! But as I watched you work through the early mundane parts of a "planned" induction, I could just almost guess where it was going. When she said, "I feel pressure everywhere," I was hoping her provider would make it in time, as I have sped for so many fast babies in my career. I was so proud of/for her! Watching women give birth without meds so beautifully when that wasn't the plan... amazing. She is one strong mama for sure. It's been a couple weeks since I caught my most recent babe, but this video made me miss it. Congrats, Heidi. You rocked that birth! So happy and proud for you!

I had a natural birth with twins. This video brought tears to my eyes because of the pain and exhaustion in Heidi's eyes but the sweetness of snuggling the baby. It's amazing how the baby heals the Mom and the Mom heals the baby!!!

Awe 🥰🥰🥰 I had my son at PVH almost 12 years ago! It looks exactly the same! The delivery rooms were soooo lovely! And the surf & turf meal we got before we left was amazing ! Glad you guys had a great experience as well!!

I love this video so much! I’m early pregnant with our third and (Dear Lord, the hormones!) I teared up watching Otto on your chest. Three is a scary thought, but there’s nothing like that moment when they put that new baby in your arms.

I have had one natural unmedicated birth with pitocin and it was no joke! I'm so glad it was a quick labor though! Quick like that is so awesome!

Yes, I felt this to my core. The pain from baby’s head hitting my cervix then BOOM! Too late for an epidural. You go mama!!!!

Yes air fryers are pretty good at roasting vegetables and crisping all of those frozen goodies like chicken tenders, fries and such.

I delivered my 3 rd born 100 percent natural , he weighed 9 pounds 10 ounces , it was amazing ! But baby number 4 I had an EPIDERAL

My second son was also born at that hospital! The birthing rooms are crazy nice! And MCR in Loveland too. That's where I had my 4th baby. The views of the mountains are incredible from there!

I laughed for most the video and then my eyes filled with tears of happiness- giving birth is soooo painful but most rewarding thing ever. All 4 of mine were inductions and all 4 were no pain meds or epidural. Baby #4 was my longest labor of 3 days from induction time.

Haha, I had all three of my babies at that same hospital where you had Otto! I also just saw your packing for the hospital video that mentioned how things were done at the previous hospital--no feeding dad, no food during labor, etc. Wondering how much a great hospital (that even serves you steak and lobster after you have your baby!!) played into baby #4. (I know I was ready to swear off pregnancy forever, but then I didn't mind the hospital experience at all.)

Oh man the part where she’s getting th crazy contractions I feel it man. No epidurals for me for both my kids and I am now on my third pregnancy and I get moments of just anxiety thinking about this. But then her holding her baby made me remember it’s so worth it.

It’s crazy how everybody’s birth stories are so different. I don’t have contractions until right when the baby is ready to come out so we run to the hospital and writhing a few hours, an epidural and a couple minutes of pushing and the baby is out. The contraction pain is the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. Second is kidney infection and kidney stones.

Very sweet video! I tore pretty bad with my first, was stitched up and my body didn’t heal correctly so I had to have another surgery and multiple procedures over the course of 10 months. I was in so much pain I couldn’t even walk the first 4 months after childbirth I was in tears. I’m pregnant with baby #2 I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to do a natural birth again or if I’m gonna have to have a c section from now on. I’m glad your birth went well and baby looks super cute:)
