Жыл бұрынFull moon, cold temps and chilly north winds can be a waterfowlers best friend or worst nightmare. In this situation it was our best friend. Our feed we had been watching for 4 days was sitting at a comfy 150, but with a full moon and 15mph north winds overnight it pushed birds right into our area!

Guys this is so awesome!! I am the owner of the property that the goose was banded. DNR comes out every summer and bands an average of 150-200. The black bands are something the DNR was trying so hunters couldn't "target" banded geese by seeing the silver reflection. This year all bands were silver.

Last year my good buddy shot a 12 year old goose on Texas Oklahoma border that was banded on my property. That was the first year the DNR banded at my place

Last summer was our 1st year using black bands here in missouri. We put a black band on every other goose back and forth between regular and blacks

Great content guys! I have had so much trouble with Benelli shotguns, nothing but hot garbage. I got a Remington Versa-Max about four years ago and haven't looked back. I also have a Patternmaster long range choke and get very few crippled birds.

Lmao my Dad banded those birds. He works the Iowa Great Lakes area and covers 10 counties. I’ve banded many of those from Iowa. Very cool to see, nice shoot boys👍👍👍

Hey guys, this weekend I shot a band and it was banded in the exact same place and the exact same time. I was hunting in nd and the starting numbers were also 1278. The weird part is that mine was silver not black.

Most blacks have been put on adults/females. We shot a few blacks and a few silvers in the same hunt that have came from the same place same day

@@CC-oy8pl 1278’s are everywhere, we killed them all over Michigan last year. It’s just a prefix, no special meaning. They’ve done 1208’s since 2017 and even this year, they just had a lot of extras left over. We’ve also killed 1258’s too

Shot one of those bands last year and when we plugged the numbers in it said there’s no information on this band or something. Kinda disappointed but they look way cooler than the silver

I am right-handed. Just hate shooting to the right especially laying down. It does not help that I am getting older and don't have any flexibility anymore. I find myself just getting up on my knees and turning. It costs me a couple seconds, but I shoot better.

they banded a bunch in iowa last year a guy that hunted with my group last year he was from arkansa and he shot a black band. my bird from last year that was a silver band was banded same location sept in 2016
