As an actual artist, I am incredibly confused by this film's whole art theme. Not only is it's animation quality that of a cheap mobile game, but it's boring camera angles, uncreative character designs, crappy art style, and poorly thought out story, scream uncreativity and laziness. This movie is either the creation of someone in way over their head, or just genuinely bad at everything concerning art, but probably both.

Just saying, “beatboxing puppy,” pausing, and walking away is a great way to end a conversation you don’t care to continue.

Funny things about Our Drawings; - "Wrist waters on my neck" is a reference to one of the Cartoon Beatbox Battle videos - The,, pebble,, narrator,, thing MIGHT already have been one of Calobi's characters.. alongside Calobi - Yeah the blue guy's a self insert I really think it's less "Our Drawings" and more "The Calobi Movie".

This movie literally looks and acts like some kinds stupid discord roleplay 😭 Like- im convinced that its not ai, however some weird combination of discord messages and a 2nd graders writing

44:11 The “beatboxer from outer space” thing is literally a reference to Verbalase who uses it as a tagline/slogan. The SpongeBob reference was not the only thing that somewhat links to Calobi’s former content, even something related to his old beatbox battle videos too.

I think it needs to be stated, the "Wrist Waters on my Neck" thing is probably like the biggest cope Calobi has in the film The phrase comes from one of Calobi's older projects, Cartoon Rap Battles (think like animated Superman vs Batman, or Gumball vs Finn), Most of his Rap Battles reuse the exact same animations over and over again, and, specifically in his Mario vs Sonic Cartoon Rap battles, Mario says the phrase "Ice on my Shoes, Wrist Waters on my Neck, Nice Brother choose, his daughter then I left!" and EVERYONE was mocking his rap battles for how bad every aspect of them were, the bars were about as good as a moldy twix bar and the animations were lazy at best, traced and copied over on average, so him making Wrist Waters into some random power phrase has to be the biggest "NO IM NOT CRINGE, I WAS COOKING" flag ever lmao

Its funny that it's meant to be about imagination or sonething, but when the wizards drawing doesn't come to life, he gets lambasted for lacking skill and to give up, which is completely at odds with the proposed moral. It just reeks of scorn and eliteism, like the writer it lording their skills. Ironically, it could been explained that it didn't work because he didn't put his heart into it, but that would make the film even more hypocritical.

This film is just a worse version of Thomas and the Magic Railroad, but more convoluted and less effort with the visuals

I love the fact that at the start of the 'movie' one of the characters points out that the teacher is passed out And then they all just pass out too like no ones gonna think they're in a coma or something

the way that the characters are almost always smiling, have 0 facial expressions and body animations that don't match the context at all makes this even more painful to watch

Me and some friends did a live dub of this movie. The plot we improv’d of the cast trying to stop the evil guy from using the power of the PS2.5 was infinitely better than the plot of the actual movie.

Personally I don’t think that they actually took six years to make this film, my assumption is that calobi and his sla- I- I MEAN, team, tried to make the movie five or six years ago and just gave up, and then later just kinda finished it in the fastest, most time and cost efficient way and then said it took them “””””sIx YeArS tO mAkE””””” to make it sound like some impressive passion project

I’ve watched nearly half of the video, and this movie just seems like a massive ego trip for the creator, I mean, their mascot is in the movie, the ice cream sandwiches are littered all over this imaginary world, I mean the character’s voice is likely literally just the creator speaking without any sort of organic tone change despite how the character physically looks, very weird.

having the majority of characters using the same talking loop. is a clear sign of cutting corners. areas being just flat or slightly hilly with copy pasted rows of houses or object's. cutting corners. the animation is complete snd utter crap.

I legitimately thought I was high halfway through the video. My mind completely left me behind near the end of the movie because I could not comprehend what the hell was going on

On a sound design and voice direction perspective this feels awful Mic clipping, attacks sound like wet slaps without any impact whatsoever (not like the fight scenes HAVE impact in the first place) and I can DEFINITELY think that one of the comic relief characters is doing a "lemme get uhhhhh" bit like he's ordering Macca's but the voice direction makes it insufferable

When you told me the premise of this movie, I thought to myself, "okay, it's going to be bad from an objective standpoint because it was made by one guy, but like, you have to cut it some slack for what it is; I'm going in with an open mind." But I can't even get through the damn intro, 9 minutes into THIS VIDEO is when I gave up. It's not because of the animation, or the voice acting, or the visuals at all; it's the writing itself. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TELL A STORY! You do not dump all the information about your main character onto your audience in a big opening narration, that's like preschooler levels of storytelling! And doing it TWICE, no less?! Seemingly just so you can gas up how awesome your main character is?! No. Nope, I can't do this, I'm done, I'm out, sorry Daniel T. Gaming but I cannot watch this video and expose myself to more of this movie. It's not your fault, you didn't do this, I just cannot afford to lose more brain cells and I'm afraid your reactions won't save enough of them.

When I watched this movie - I was like 3/4 of the way through then i closed my eyes for what felt like a minute. When I woke up, IT WAS 7 AM THE NEXT DAY. And it wasn't even late at night when I was watching it, it was like 8pm. This movie out me into a COMA.

"This is the story of a man named Stanley..." just comes to mind with the repeated protag introductions.

What's interesting is I think this movie is a great example of how NOT to write a story, like good enough that you should watch it to know what not to do lol. A great example is every character introducing themselves by straightforwardly telling everyone who they are, what they're doing and why they're doing it. Even in media meant for young children its not this direct and plainly stated. It feels more like the notes you write about the characters during the planning phase, as opposed to the final product.

Not sure why Calobi Productions made this and wasted "6 Years on this"im Pretty sure i can do the same idea but alot more epic in a shorter video.
