Sam, Sell the 360 and swap it for a CS because if that is really your dream car and you can afford it now is the time. Anyway cars ain’t getting any cheaper and the 360 is actually probably still worth some cash. Just do it like we were telling you with the F-Type.

Definitely sell the 360 and get a CS but I would wait until you can get a RHD model.

Sam being one that is dealing with gi issues as of late I have a piece of advice. If this is happening more frequently you may want to see your physician and discuss it. That can be the early signs of things that can be treated easily instead of having to spend time in a hospital. I love your work and genuinely care about your well being. Thanks for taking my question! Good to hear your thoughts as always. To play devils advocate- as a current V8 c63s owner, for me this car is about the drama, the sense of occasion and that great exhaust note. If that’s not there I wouldn’t really want a C63🤷🏽‍♂️ if we’re just talking about being silly quick then I’d turn to an Audi RS product or the M3 so I’m not sure which segment this new C63 will actually appeal to especially at that price point as well

Sam, use a track day to improve your precision. Nailing braking points, turn-in points, apexes, exit points and feeling as though you’re getting quicker through the day. There’s no necessity to thrash your car to within an inch of its life. I treat them as an opportunity for self-improvement.

Hey, about the bmw's, I tried a bunch of the previous gen and ended up buying the 430d as the best compromise, slightly less power but sooo smooth and plenty of power for a daily. Much better then the 30i's and I preferred it over the 40i's ...

I feel your pain with the 360. My vantage has cost a bit to keep on the road now and I don’t know where I can go that will give me the same feels within what I can afford. What if I push myself and end up with something that I don’t get the same connection from. I feel we share a similar POV on our cars whereas Tony likes the latest and greatest. We like manuals and character 🤪

Everyone loves the X5 hybrid because of the range and you're back to an in-line 6 diesel, you'll never get that smooth turbine like power from a 4 cyl, and it'll sound more agricultural

Book a test drive in the spring on a Challenge, drive the 360 up to the test drive, if the challenge is that much better you’ll instantly know.

For me the 5 car garage must be: Bentley Continental GT W12 for every day, Ferrari F50 for the special days a few times per year, Porsche 991 Speedster for sunny days, Pagani Zonda R for track days and Audi R8 V10 manual for weekends

Sam, I think you might enjoy trackdays better with a proper club (Porsche Club, Ferrari Club, etc.). They usually put a bigger emphasis on safety and there's not a massive speed differential between a McLaren and a Fiat 124. With cars of your own liking.

When you do end up selling the 360 for the Stradale, you’ll have your fun, but ultimately miss your 360. And you won’t realize that until you’ve scratched that Stradale itch.

Sam, you gotta swap out the 360 for a CS. If it's your dream and you can swing it now you should listen to Tony. You don't want to get another 10-20 years down the road always wishing you bought one. Do it before kids too!

Regarding the 40d engine, I find there's a bit of a lottery when it comes to BMW 3.0l diesels as to whether you get a good one or not. One can be quiet and smooth, and the exact same engine can be be horrific. Also, using premium fuel is an absolute must to get the best out of those engines and make them smoother. And 100% agree with thoughts on the B58, it's possibly one of the best engines ever made...Dare I say up there with the 2JZ??

Top 5 garage is so hard, but for me probably: BMW X5M, Singer 911, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 911 992 GT3 Touring, Ferrari F50.

Mine would be a Bentayga, Cayenne coupe Turbo s, 992 911 turbo S, Defender 3 door commercial urban spec, and a full fat full spec MST Mk2 Escort.

Okay, for what it's worth, my dream 5-car garage for 23 Dec 2022 is as follows- 1. used *Ferrari Purosangue* (daily); 2. used *Maserati MC20* (public road supercar - if I had a home in a LHD country I may choose a Bugatti Veyron instead); 3. new pts *Porsche 911 992 Cabriolet C4* with PTV Plus and Sport Chrono *OR Turbo* (everyday sports/GT); 4. *Audi R8 V10 manual* Spyder/coupe (manual n-a sports); 5. used *Porsche Cayenne 3rd gen* base or S *OR* used *Audi e-tron 50* (for wife/family/dogs). Even though five cars is more than enough to look after, a petrolhead with hundreds of millions plus is very likely to dream beyond merely covering the bases. And a EuroMillions winner is almost certainly going change where they live, and obviously their whole lifestyle, so in advance of such a circumstance I think it’s very difficult to realistically envisage the whole new lifestyle that would put its own demands on your vehicle needs. For starters, if I lived in the countryside I wouldn’t have a Purosangue as a daily. If I had an apartment in central London, I’d probably want an EV. And if I lived part-time in another country, I’d probably want to keep at least one or two cars there. It’s also going to depend how risk averse you are. It’s one thing to lust after an expensive car, but given the general state of the roads, parking issues, driver skills and attitudes, as well as the attitudes of cyclists and pedestrians, etc, realistically how expensive and how big a car are you willing to drive before anxiety dominates the experience? And beyond that, beyond the costs of maintenance and repairs, beyond the general running costs, how much time are you willing to let your car hobby consume? There’s extreme hassles just getting some of the cars serviced. Some cars have one service centre, and for some there isn’t a service centre in the UK. I know people who struggle to keep their many cars MOT’d/serviced/etc. And people who have sold their hypercars because of the hassles and time involved, which makes me wary of the microbrands, no matter how desirable their cars.

If you can get a CS now, there's probably a good chance it will go up in value. The 360 probably won't. You may not get the chance to swap them in a few years.
