loving this series, especially after watching your kirby video! Ive learned so much about designing better networks. Question: Can you explain what you do with the depots? i think the long terminating rail is just aesthetic, so the train comes out and turns around, but, i dont understand the seemingly random fork at the end of that rail?

Its a pathfinding trick that allows trains to see the split-off rail as a viable path. I'm not exactly sure how or why it works, but it is required for the turnaround as far as I know.

Have you considered using free range trains instead of putting them through institutionalized rails?

Also, x10 speed is too much, i would like to appreciate your skills while seeing the new hub unfold. However the amount of terrafoming is a bit much to my taste. Regardless, good job, keep it up.😊

I swear I saw some CL 2s. But I don't think SH40 can make it. They need the 3 right? If you speed up so much, the video gonna be very short 😢

I'm aiming for around 600-800 trains before I call it quits on this save, so hopefully it will last a while. I've been running through a backlog of footage I recorded all at once, there's a lot of footage I didn't have the foresight to get to make for more interesting real-time segments. After episode 4, there will be more focus on real-time stuff. As for the CL 2s, where at? I've got a bad eye for this sometimes 😅
