Hey Elliot, our first time trying one of his spots! He's a very talented man! We had dinner (right after this meal, haha) at Rogan & Co and it was just as delicious, for a more casual meal. Which of his restaurants have you been to?

@@S3Lifestyle Yeah. I am a big fan. Have been to all his restaurants in London and Hong Kong as well as various pop ups by his talented head chefs. His chef's table Aulis is the only one in London now which is brilliant. There is also an Aulis in HK alongside a Roganic. Top stuff.

@@elliotc88 Oh amazing! Lucky guy! After our few meals, we're definitely big fans too and hoping to try more! We tried to get into Aulis London but we didn't plan properly and it was booked out while we were there! But it's great all of his restaurants, across the board are all unanimously good :)

@@S3Lifestyle restaurant is AO in Southampton, run by Dan Rogan. It’s just shown up on Michelin’s list of new restaurants, which isn’t a guarantee of an award but is at least a good sign that they’ve noticed it!

Yeah! But if we’re talking whether to gauge by stars or 50 best list- I’d go by the 50 best list cause Michelin doesn’t really have the same standard anymore and doesn’t go to as many countries as the 50 best does

​​​​@@blackferdinand2260laughable, you really shouldn't take the top 50 list too seriously. The Michelin guide isn't perfect by any means but it and La Liste are a far more reliable gauge. The top 50 is more of a way of highlighting emerging talent at the top end of the culinary world, nothing more; it admits on the top 50 site it is largely a method for 'identifying trends'. Their introduction of a 'Best of the Best' class only corroborates this (as older, more established restaurants are taken out of consideration to make way for newer talent). Seriously, go on La Liste (you'll find L'Enclume there in the top 50, by the way). Again, not a perfect list by any stretch but much better.

Yeah sorry, we often just share a bottle of bubbly with a glass of red for the mains and almost never opt for the pairings, as we're quite focused on filming :) If ever we have a really notable pairing or something worth mentioning, we absolutely will!
