Also Aurea's visage was the inspiration for depicting the Goddess, incarnation of The Miracle and she was also showed off in public parades where the Church pretended to show the Goddess itself, so her life was harder for this reason too. Sorry for eventually bad English, I'm actually italian

The fact that the original storys morale is: look how pure she is!, instead of how sick the king was who forced her into a situation where she could only see self-mutalation as a way out, shows everything i think is wrong with religion

I don't think it detracts from how sick the king is. It's the act of rebellion and the lengths she would go to keep to her morals, and faith is why she's celebrated.

I don't like the idea of different weapons in the sequel. Mea Culpa is and was the penitent ones weapon. Him changing weapons depending on what's most effective seems too.. comfortable for the penitent one. He'll make what he has work, or die trying, not pick something else cus it's "easier"

I haven't play blasphemous 2 yet, but I noticed that right away In the trailer, and I know that's always the big request from players and an easy way to appease them is to put more weapons in ur game, but it just felt.. wrong for this game. It's so brutally unforgiving on everything, it just kinda made sense to use a sword with a freaking statue as a handle. It's not meant to be effective. It just is.

I mean in the true ending of blasphemous 1, once the penitent one defeated the miracle, all things created by the miracle vanished. This includes mea culpa. So lore wise it makes sense for him to use different weapons cause it's more effective than a broken hilt

@@RamanK2007 I'm not saying it has to be mea culpa in specific, I'm saying it doesn't track with the PO to switch weapons mid battle cus one works better/easier than the other. The mindset of the character would make u think he'd pick the absolutely worst option to punish himself, or show penance, so to speak lol.

Crisanta is from outside of Cvstodia. She's the leader of the Anointed Visage, and her sword was affected by the Miracle, which is why it's covered in Escribar's blessed crimson ribbons

Still struggling on this boss. I am very lost on the game lore, and kind of want to try blind, but it isn't working. Should I be playing this like Dark Souls?

No. Play it like a platform game. Dark Souls is a completely different genre than a metroidvania. If you're taking about lore wise? Sure. Read the descriptions and their meaning/subtext, take note of who you're talking to and what they say.
