There are videos explaining the lore. But one thing is consistent.....the miracle is an asshole.

You ain't dumb ya just human the lore does get complicated but the first game is pretty understandable

Even a commentary lore I watch said the players had to collect items just to unlock some stories from the game (nope, not even many dialogues may fully explain of what's really going on....instead, they give you mpre questions)

Because its the same shit that you find in souls (although npcs are more talkative) the lore is narrated through items, in the second game its less of a hassle since the core of the story is explained through cinematics.

But during the second wave of her battle and in the cutscene where she helps slay the high wills, Crisanta has an actual blade flowing with purple energy, that energy is contained by the bandages

I believed that Crisanta's blade in the first blasphemous had a silver construction with a mystical purple glow, when she used the sword's full potential. I also partly believed that the sword was not just the manifestation of the miracle, but partially also the high wills making it lose most of it's form and strength with the defeat of the high wills. The remnant of the blade existed, but only faintly under the bloodsoaked bandages. (this was originally my theory for why her blade was not under the bandages, since remembering lore was not my strong suit...)

Needlessly obscure and complicated phrasing with a healthy amount of convoluted story telling is a big part of the charm for me. It's very accurate to medieval Spanish literature.

I guess this path is more for esoteric decoding puzzles.

The overall story is not that hard to understand if you actually bothered to read the item descriptions that literally say "lore". And the naming is great as it's all traditional Spanish instead of basic English names
