The man literally grabbing podiums, overtaking and fighting others with no mistakes, while watching TV, correcting his engineer, mentoring Lance , directing the race and giving penalties to drivers. There should be an extra stat: Consistency, the ability to generate consistent results within the expectations placed on them. THAT would be a stat that would shuffle the overall a bit.

The overall figures aren't far off but the individual figures are. How has Lewis got less pace than Fernando but Fernando has 16 less awareness? Also how do they calculate the averages, how much weight is given to each score.

I'm not saying Bottas should be that high but we've all seen what he can do when that alfa actually works. Last season he came 6th in Bahrain and Spain, 5th in Imola, and overall he was in the top 10 in almost half of the races. These ratings reflect much on last season and not only the few races we've had this year.

I think Lando's numbers make sense. Not had a competitive car, but outperformed it repeatedly (P3 in Spain Quali stands out), wiped the floor with his experienced, multiple grand prix winning teammate for 2 seasons straight, almost never crashes, avoids incidents, still outperforming a new teammate. I think the grade here reflects how highly he's thought of by other drivers who know their stuff as well. Red Bull want him, and even Hamilton came on radio to say how good he is that time in Austria. Definitely ahead of Perez, in my view. Would love to see him in that seat.

The reason why the average isn’t dead on is because they add a couple points, give or take, for pace.

So for experience, how do nyck and logan have such close values? Like, if they're only counting f1 experience they should both be like 10 or so, but if they're counting previous categories nyck should have a ton more experience than logan. I can only assume a 48 is taking into consideration logan's junior career and that someone like kimi in their rookie season would have had a lower score, but then nyck should easily be a mid to high 60 or low 70 if that's the case since he's done a ton more driving than logan in other categories.

Yeah i think Lance having a race craft of 91 is correct if you read what they base it on. But this is mainly due to poor qualifying. Over the course of Lance's career he has always been the top 5 overtaker of the year because he is a flying starter. He usually makes up a huge number of positions on the opening lap. But this seems to be as he qualifies quite low. And I've seen this trend myself. Alonso awarenesses should be 99. I do agree that Charles should have a higher pace average, but if this year's performance is weighted more than previous, then it might just be correct because poor Charles is having a very unlucky session

These ratings seem to have mainly been about how bad someone qualifies. Stroll keeps qualifying out of position therefore gets an amazing racecraft rating...

George Russel deserves to be higher. And considering far Charles Leclerc has fallen from last year, I think his rating should be lower, as there is the "awareness". Leclerc has had so many mistakes over the past year. He's a qualifying specialist, but that also means he is on the limit more. You can't award him when he gets it right and then omit the times he got it wrong. Stroll is worst than Hulk or K Mag. I guarantee those 2 will do much more with such a good car.

This is an interesting exercise but when you picture a seat opening up at a top team mid season and you had to choose between Bottas, Yuki, Stroll, KMag and Albion which way would you go. You can rate Yuki highest all day but would you put him in Perez’ or Hamilton’s seat?

I don’t see why this is being commented on over and over by people when it actually explained it within the first 30 seconds within the video, but the awareness stat has nothing to do with how “aware” a driver is, it is how well a driver does to avoid penalties, or being summoned by the stewards. Yes, I am aware that many people, including myself, have a different view on what a drivers awareness actually means, but this is what the loons at EA have come up with.

I would put hamilton same rating as verstappen atleast. The merc is 3rd best car, at best and he is doing wonders with it. Also a PAC rating of just 90 is criminal.
