I've noticed that all your older kids are so patient with the younger kids, they always include them in whatever they're doing. Also they are always willing to help no matter what the task is- like seeing Chris come over to help out Noel with the playground. It's clear you've instilled some real family values into your children which I'm sure they carry out into the real world as well.

Oh I remember as a kid I and friends did the same with piles and buckets of things from the ground. I think a sure fire way to stop them from bringing more in is to make them pick up every single one and tell them everyday they have to pick up any they bring in! :) it definitely is good for learning responsibility too!

Aimee, from one who also loves baking, have you tried using an ice cream scoop for scooping out your crispy cakes from the bowl into equal portions to place into your cupcake wrappers? It works great for this! Thanks for the tip on adding chocolate, I will definitely have to try this. 😊

Turn your concerns into washing detergent, it's really good for cutting down on buying from the supermarket. Simply bash them and cover them in boiling water let them sit for an hour or two then pore the liquid into clean jars or bottles and repeat the process, I keep mine in the fridge I use mine on my towels. Honestly it really works.

To have saved you both from having to dismantle the playground set, you could have advertised it as a free restoration project to anyone who is willing to come and dismantle and remove. After some minimal tlc it would look like new. Or you could have simply restored it yourselves.....very little work and £££s needed to do it.
