THIS IS LITERALLY THE 3rd Time im making this exact comment (from this point) I'm on episode 2... and my god, I'm fucking dumbfounded at the events which took place in this episode. From the shooting on the boat (ep 1) to the break in to the FUCKING BROAD DAYLIGHT PUBLIC CHASING of a minor...WITH GUNS...my mans didn't even think to get help FROM THE PEOPLE WALKING AROUND....THE FUCKING POLICE DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING?? Like I get it, their gang members or drug lords or whatever and the police are (apparently) in on the secret of the compass BUT THE IDEA that they could shoot at kids in broad day light is beyond me. Like there isn't even any scenes where its like The police call them in and tell them to tone it down or something because they are literally going around acting like NOBODY else exists

Decided to watch this one, and kept me intrigued the whole episode, so I decided to watch it all, and it’s very good, to my surprise. The writing is good, there are some parts I wouldn’t put in there, I’m a writer myself and I think it’s pretty good, hopefully they can keep it up.

Another fun fact they shot this before and after hurricane Dorian and that’s how they got a lot of the downed trees and stuff but if you think it’s shot on the outer banks it’s not because they shot here but used cgi to make it look like the outer banks. Also my name is Dorian and they filmed it during the hurricane on my street so I have a close connection with this show

@@SketchyLH realistic? i know outer banks is trying to go for a relatable and realistic outlook but the entire show's messages are completely outdated and do not apply to issues people are going through today. not to mention the absurdity of the characters and the choices they make- how fast the show moves and how cartoon like the characters act. if anything on my block is wayyyyy more realistic and relatable to teenagers nowadays, for one, using PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE TEENS. i am a teenager myself, and I hate how outer banks glorifies toxic relationships and situations and completely fabricates many issues of a teen's life. thats just my view though, i can hardly relate to this show. now, if we're talking about grown adults, their experiences as teenagers are obviously different from teenagers' experiences today. however, this show is clearly trying to relate or at least appeal to teens nowadays.. the insane, corny, and manipulative relationship between sarah and john b and how the producers chose to portray that relationship, the mentions of teen hardships throughout the show EVEN WHEN they never truly dive into those ideas and instead brush them off for an entirely new situation. its tough to care about this show and the characters when its all shallow, surface level material. sorry i just realized how long this comment is, lmao

Ultan Tuffy I didn’t say that. It’s called research, any role you get it’s common knowledge you always have to do some research. I’m not saying he should go out and do a line of coke, but there are simple and easy ways to figure out a realistic reaction. It’s called poor acting and laziness. He also should’ve received better direction with those scenes because if I were the director I know I wouldn’t have put whatever he did into my show.
