In this video series I am sharing Outfit inspiration for plus size apple shapes | Build an outfit with me. As a personal stylist and as a fellow plus size apple shape, I know what it feels like to feel non-represented and un-seen in the fashion world. Us plus apples are often not included on the fashion map so I am doing my bit to change that by sharing what real outfits actually look like and by taking you through the process of shopping your own closet. I am talking you through the outfit and giving you tips and tricks along the way on how best to dress our apple shaped bodies.

I had some brown jeans I loved but only wore once before donating. Mine were a tad loose but I think the main reason I didn't wear them was I had nothing to wear them with!

Great video ❤ I'm struggling with to many clothes that I'm not wearing & I'm finding decluttering to stressful & honestly i'm stuck. If you have any " tough to the bone" advice to share I'd greatly appreciate it. Tough approach works for me so don't hesitate ❤Tks again

Ok hun, tough approach! No more excuses! It has to be done and the stress comes from not doing it. It’s hanging over your head and makes you feel overwhelmed and stressed. (It’s a normal stress response so don’t worry) Now hun, don’t despair. I’ve got several solutions for you and it’s not hard I promise. Ok first option.. the “expensive” one.. book an online session with me and I’ll sit with you (online) and we will go through and sort as much as possible while we talk about style, fit, storage, care etc etc.. (if this is for you just send me a mail (imjustmemarleen@yahoo.com) and we can talk about that more) Second option will take a little longer and may work the best for you as it’s slower. (Less stress) 1 item every day till you are done! Meaning.. every single day you try in 1 item and decide if it’s a keep or a go! Check if the item fit, is it in good nick, can you make an outfit with it, does it fit your style and so on and so on. Simply keep going till you are done and have a wardrobe full of pieces you love and will wear. I hope that helps xx

Hi there, Marleentje and all co-apples, in case you can see my belly quite clearly in pants or skirt, I wear a colorful tunic (with bling hihi) over it, that also distracts attention! HAHAHA. I really like blazers, fun cardigans, etc., but you know, because I sweat very hard sometimes (due to my illness) I can't wear something like that for long, so I MUST take it off. That is why I tend to wear longer, looser tops instead of tucking them in or wearing a short top. We all have to find our own solution, is it not sweetie! You are so great in making fab combinations, dear, I love it!!! You can also use the colors: green, yellow, red and others with those brown jeans. I hate brown and blue, had to wear those colors in boarding school long time ago, but still do not wear them together LOL. But on you those colors are fab, weird is it not so?? Oh m will you get out of my head. I totally get not wearing cardigans as I used to cover up in them but I hadn’t realised that was what I was doing. Adore the shoes. You’re more put together than me I’m more hippy and no tailored and although I like these I’m still drawn to the Hareem pants and militry blazer that looked so good. I love you making use out of your wardrobe. Bit of a fashion disappointment ordered dress of the big a went by my measurements but too big and don’t know why I chose ditsy again. Really need to leave ditsy alone also looked too booby for me. Hey ho off it goes back them. Have a great Easter.

lol sorry to take up space in your head lol but it’s perfectly ok for you to wear a different style. If you love it you go for it girl. My style is not the only style there is and I’m still finding mine. Sad about the dress though hun xx

@@ImjustmeMarleen it’s so weird that I never thought about the reasons I’d ditched the cardigan still you said and it was deffo a lightbulb moment. I see you pushing you’re comfort zone and remind me that there’s more clothes the exercise leggings joggers jeans and hippy pants with a vest top or band t all topped with a hoodie. I really like the easy style of ya vids.

@@ImjustmeMarleen now I took a leaf out of you’re book and styled the dress up I have a thin almost see through jumper and with a wide belt it totally changed the dress. Now do I keep the dress as it’s not how I intended to wear it or return. I know if it were a dark colour I’d keep it and I went for the green n white for summer.Oh decisions. I think it’s one of those dresses if I send it back I’ll re buy it.

Try and make a few more outfits. My rule of thumb if in doubt, is a minimum of 3 outfits. If I can make 3, the piece can stay x

DON'T remove the blazer buttons. Try to look really objectively at yourself ie squint/blur your image circa 10:06 and note how the buttons work to frame your shape in a very flattering way. Or is it just me? 😃
