Hey guys! I thought I would give an update + some context for this video so you could learn more about what these outfits mean to me! Firstly, this video was filmed over a year ago, so many of the “basic” outfits in this video were not as trendy back then. I had only really seen few people doing the collared shirt paired with a crew neck trend, so it was definitely out of my comfort zone. And similar with the shirt and turtleneck. After being on KZfaq and Tiktok more openly, I’m much more confident about my outfits and my personal style, so that explains why I was able to post this to such a large audience. I hope that clears things up!

It's really sad when others make fun of you for the way you dress. Today at school I wore a knee-length denim skirt. Everyone asked me: "but is the skirt your grandmother's?" and also "you suck". But we shouldn't get discouraged and so I decided that I will wear this skirt as often as possible.💖😁

Let me just tell you, my life completely flipped when I stopped caring about what other people thought of me. They really don’t care about others they only care about theirselves. Wear whatever you want to school (acknowledging your school dress code) as long as it makes you feel confident, that’s all that matters

I wore lolita on a regular day when it wasn’t Halloween once, no one looked twice. They just said they liked my dress or didn’t care about it. Sometimes when you feel insecure about smt you think is a big deal, there’s usually a big chance that no one will notice it. Ik everyone is saying “ i don’t see why she’s scared to wear these they’re normal “ but i actually can relate. It isn’t always revealing clothes that we are scared to wear, it’s how we look in certain clothes. Maybe we won’t look as good as other people in them. I personally own the first two outfits or smth similar but i wore them like once or twice cuz i don’t think i look as good in them as everybody else. And always remember everyone’s struggle is different and she could be scared to wear them for another reason that’s just the way i relate to it :) Ok shoot this blew up! But im glad i found that other ppl also feel that way, so always remember that you are never alone :)

A tip for people who are scared to wear certain clothes the best way to get over that fear is by looking at your fear, feeling it and doing it anyway that’s what i did a year ago i was so scared to wear Kawaii fashion even tho i love wearing it so i faced my fear and now i wear it everyday i know it’s not easy but if you want to be confident in yourself this would be the first step❤

I'm a senior and in the middle of the year we did an exercise as a class to list the bill of rights in an order we thought was right. We all agreed that safety was the biggest priority and our teacher read it and said "It's sad that you need to prioritize your safety rather than wanting to speak your mind" We were the first class to say safety and the only class to every unanimously agree on something without debate. School is scary, but everyone reading this will get through it. You deserve to feel safe, respected and heard, one day that change will happen and you or your children can go to school and feel safe.

Recently I learned that literally no one cares what you’re wearing, so wear whatever makes you feel happy. The worst case scenario is that no one compliments it, but that’s honestly how I would want it to be haha
