The amount of pride you take in maintaining your boat is amazing, if everyone took as much pride in their own vessels, there would be some great used boats on the markets. Unfortunately most people don’t, they just let their boats fall to pieces. Thanks for the awesome vids and showing what it takes to maintain and Captain your own vessel!

Wow, thank you! cap. and i agree with you, i know people that don't touch their boats over a year and wen they go to use it , batteries don't work ,fuel problems and much more , not to mention how they looked ,very sad for the boats

Wow, did that bring back memories for me. I had a 42' Chesapeake Bay Deadrise, ALL WOOD that was built in 1957 by Parks Bros. Single screw diesel. I used it when I had a 50 ton USCG Captain License as a fishing boat. If I wasn't doing maintenance I was painting. Had to sell due to declining health. Fiberglass is a wonderful thing! LOL. It's obvious you take great pride in whatever you do and that whatever you do is done the right way. Thanks for the video Captain.

Wow cap 42 feet that was big and wood that a whole difrent kind of boat, and i loved diesel engines. Thanks for watching cap.

For me after the paint which is nice - I would add a snap in outdoor removable carpet on the ceiling and sides. It’s going to be louder in the cabin. You removed the sound dampening properties of your carpet. But you also removed the mold. So if put outdoor carpet in. Cut out holes for the light and screws. And then use snap fasteners. That way you can snap it on for trips. And remove it when you not using boat for a while and give it a good clean.
@OutOnTheReef3 жыл бұрын
Great idea cap, but that was a nasty carpet, not good for sleeping at night😫

Wow, you were not kidding when you said last week to get ready for a major renovation of the crooked pilot house! Great job. I really like the way you speed up the video and have the music going allow us to watch you do every step of the job in a 1/10th of the time. Between ripping out the moldy carpet (after only a year old and clearly they used shit carpet) and then 6 coats of marine paint . . . Hell of a job Cap! Finished product looks like it came from a factory built boat. But certainly not from Parker factory built boat. If they could turn out a boat with "crooked paint" they would be good at that. Correct Craft really took one up the old Keyster buying Parker Boat company back in 2019. How any company's quality control could allow a boat like yours to be crooked and then sold as new . . . boggles the mind. Your channel with almost 18,000 subscribers I'm sure has turned many perspective boat buyers away from the sloppily built Parker brand for sure. I'm sure your channel has already cost Correct Craft hundreds of thousands in lost sales. GOOD! They should have just replaced your boat with a new one. But they were selling the company, so they did not care that they turned out a crooked product.
@OutOnTheReef3 жыл бұрын
very true Cap and very Sad story, all i asked was a brand new exact boat , but you are right they did not care because they ware selling the company to Correct Craft , now they have this on their hands, wen a consumer has a problem like this the manufacture need to satisfy the consumer right away, i worn them at first but the owner acted like this was a small problem and i worn them about showing this factory huge defect on KZfaq , if i was them i would replaced the same boat right away but they ware looking to save money by rebuilding the boat, sad story. thanks for your comment cap and for watching👍👍⚓

Hi Capt.... wow! This really looks nice, and will making cleaning VERY much easier! I don't think there are very many Parker owners who like the 'carpet'. Maybe if Parker is watching your videos, they'll start offering your method as an option! ☺
