Last year my wife and I visited Las Vegas and Los Angeles. During that time, we drove from Las Vegas to Death Valley and then back to Las Vegas. And the we drove from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, spent about 5 days in Los Angeles, and the drove back to Las Vegas. I can say from experience, Peter is 100% correct. The Mojave Desert is so beautiful that it’s borderline majestic. I lost track of how many times we would be driving, and we would just pull over to take pictures and just embrace the beauty of the desert.

I moved here in 2021 from the east coast. Each local suburb part of the city has its own vibe and culture. The mountains are so diverse and there’s so much to do. I have a picture of me holding snow with the strip in the background in late JUNE! You can bike ride on endless trails in Red Rock, 1 hour downhill. And the best part is the strip keeps tourists distracted away from some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, so you can always find your quiet space in “heaven.”

People are fascinated by accents everywhere. If you're cool like Peter, people will want you to have a good experience. The biggest cities are much less like this, though, so stick to places that aren't so packed that everyone is used to seeing new people every second of every day. Life seems cheaper in the biggest cities, in my opinion, but they have their upsides too. There are infinite small towns that love to see decent passersby.

This was a really fun one! I loved the woman that owned the bar. Lots of stories, lots of experience. And those three young men. It's refreshing to see them with their trucks and they know what they want in life. The scenery was surprisingly beautiful. I'm not a desert guy, but it just seemed to serene there.

If you ever have a chance to visit, Death Valley National Park is amazing. Don't go between April 1st and October 1st - it's too hot and dangerous too, if your vehicle were to break down and strand you somewhere in 120°F heat you would be in serious trouble - but in the November to February peak season, Death Valley is beautiful. Try to have a 4WD vehicle with all-terrain tires when you visit, and explore some of the back country on the dirt roads in the Park.

I never thought I was a desert guy. Give me green forests and water, but I spent some time camping out in the desert and it just blew me away. You've never experienced quiet like that - rarely even a bird song. Beauty on a whole different level. Look at that sky!

What a great video - the wife and I went to Vegas in April and loved it, but we had no idea about what was just outside of it. The Nevada desert was beautiful and full of surprises. Seeing this video makes me want to come back and explore all over again.

My favorite episode so far. To be real I’ve loved each and every single one I’ve seen before, but for some reason, this one hits a little harder for me, I think because of the strength and authenticity of the women that are being interviewed.

I lived in Vegas (Summerlin, next to Red Rock Casino) for three years before returning to the East Coast. I used to tell people that the only thing I loved about Vegas was when I was facing AWAY from it. I really do miss my weekly mountain biking around Blue Diamond, and my road biking on Red Rock Canyon road. Watching this video also reminded me of my trips to Pahrump and beyond. Beautiful, PEACEFUL part of this country. That said, I love my trees, grass, and woods where I live now.

my wife and I stayed in Furnace Creek, Death Valley March, 2023 and made a trip to Ryholite. It was an almost spiritual experience "listening" to the quiet. Not another soul was around for the hour or so and it made for a peaceful end to our trip from crowded, noisy NJ. So thankful for your efforts Peter...consider a trip to the famous NJ Pine Barrens...lots of legend, lore and interesting places and people...I can suggest a local guide....

As someone who lived in Vegas for 44 years I really appreciate your coverage of the area. I'm only 90 miles away now but I miss Vegas. There's really no place like it on earth. There's a local KZfaqr called Wonderhussy and she's a real character. She lived in Vegas but moved to a compound in Death Valley. It would be cool for you guys to do a video together.
