Carp fishing with a new bait that I've never tried. Eventually I gave up on the new carp bait and went with my reliable secret weapon. It was an interesting evening of fishing, and I may have to try those baits again sometime. Thanks for watching.

7:16 😂 i get that feeling. Turtles, panfish... it doesn't matter how cute and a live they make the area look, when they keep stealing bait every 10 minutes or less and u keep hooking them not wanting... the image of Mario jumping on turtles comes to mind and how he send them flying away😂😅

I'll take those 5 to 15 pounders all day they are a blast to catch. Just thank how long it takes a bass fisherman to catch a 5 pounder let alone a bass over 10 pounds great job with the videos

First, I don't think you need to mess with your rig or feeder unless those tangles are happening all the time. If they are happening a lot, you can use something like a gripper lead to pack bait around where the hook can't snag it. Or something like an anti-tangle sleeve or a little electrical shrink tube to make the top of the rig stiff enough to keep the hook away from the feeder. I guess another option would also be stiffer mono rigs to keep the hook kicked away.

Those tangles don't happen every time, but the first time a nuisance fish tugs on it then I'm sitting there wondering if the rig is tangled or not, so I reel it in. I think just switching out the spring feeder for a no roll sinker (or gripper lead) is what I'm going to try next time. Some good ideas, thanks James.

Hey Tom I don't use a hair rig. And I catch lots of carp. Do you feel the hair Rig has increased your hook up ratio. Just wanted to get your opinion on that. Going to Send you a pic of the black carp my buddy caught on 50 degree day in febuary

I have no doubt that a hair rig provides a better hook up rate. There are other benefits too, maybe I'll do a video about that sometime. It has it's pros and cons just like everything else.
