You are not experiencing what a few hundred thousand of us have not already experienced. And yes, it is amazing. Band-Maid is in a league all their own and l am happy l have been able to witness it first hand in my lifetime because who, what and why this band is so highly improbable it boggles the mind. Someone else said this first but the gap is becoming a chasm. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.

possibly the most balanced band I have ever heard. Akane(drums) and MISA(bass) for one of the best rhythm sections ever and Kanami(lead guitar) absolutely a world class guitarist and one of the best!! Miku(rhythm guitar) still learning from her sensei/teacher Kanami and doing an awesome job. I love Band-Maid. they are magical

And you know whats even heavier or more impressive? In LIVE it sounds even better... And they do little changes sometimes, they really know how to improvise (longer drumsolo f.e.)! Next Play (live) maybe :)

you have to go and see these girls live, they are incredible you will experience the same forgotten emotions that you felt with the super bands of the 70s and 80s, Akane at the beginning seems invasive but then with its rhythms, it takes you away from the head, she is the hammer of God, the two guitars intertwine in wonderful, very creative ways and rhythms, the mix set on the bass makes you vibrate with Miza throughout the concert, Saiki makes you straighten your hair, and you will love her at the end of the concert, Kanami transforms his guitar into an emotion generator

I call this one, YYZ to the Nth degree and I thank RUSH for touring Japan so much. I too found these ladies just about a year ago. I now have 80 some songs in a folder in my car and that is all I listen to. I started head bangin' back in the late 70's and these ladies are the best thing I have seen in 30+ years.

I started with Miku (Domination) thinking I would ease into it holy sh@T NO she has come ever so far in the past 5-6 years, then I could not help myself it had to be MISA (Domination again) just LOVE watching her work her Maho. then all the rest. But the one I keep going back to is A-chan (in all 3 of them)

I had just run across the girls a couple days prior, watched every last official video on their channel multiple times, made my first iTunes purchase EVER (and first money spent on new music in DECADES) when I called up a friend of mine who had played guitar professionally in Japan back in the 90s. "Dude, I just found THE MOST AMAZING Japanese band! and they're all girls! and all dressed up li...." "Oh, you found Band-Maid, here, let me send you a link" ONSET. I think I cried. That was just the beginning of the journey down the rabbit hole. I see you found Lovebites. There are tons of bands to check out. While most are dominated by women, they aren't all 100% girl bands. The girls just seem to be the most imporant parts of the bands. Look for Asterism- Rising Moon and D_Drive if you want more instrumentals. Mary's Blood is killer. Doll$box - Take My Chance is a fun one to react to. Just keep clicking on suggestions. IT NEVER ENDS. I swear, you will be continually surprised, thrilled and blown away. It just never ends with these j-rock/metal bands.

love band maid!! also check out Eruca sativa, trio from Argentina, great songs, 3 part vocals, Lula on guitar and lead Vox is a powerhouse, Brenda rocks on bass ,enrique on drums, listen to anything from the blanco album, its all in Spanish but that doesn't matter when it rocks!!

The Japanese metal is pretty new to me too. Ningen Isu is a three piece band from Japan they remind me a little of Black Sabbath. The song Heartless Scat is the one that blew up for them on the internet. Here is a link for you. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ech5apyWms--e6c.html

Probably commented before, they play this well live. Band Maid, make this look like a 'walk in the park' but I wonder how many gigging bands could play it? You may want to have a look at their first music video 'Thrill'? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i8qjaspkspOYnIU.html Several costume changes since those days. Misa and Saiki, were never too keen on the maids outfits, so theirs have changed the most. Thrill, and their earlier songs were written for them but for me, that does not matter as they are excellent songs.

Just think of the Maid outfits the same way you think of GWAR's monster suits, KISS's Leather and makeup, or SlipKnot's Masks and coveralls. It's just a stage costume worn for shock effect. What matters is that the Maids nail every performance: Rockers, pop songs, ballads, metal, etc.

That is epic than this. This video of "Onset" is from the bonus Blu ray disc of the album "Conqueror." It's not really an MV per se but is an instrumental (instructional) play-through for the fans.

Welcome to the Shinkansen of japanese music, now you are in the Bandmaid wagon, full stuff in it but lately the management is very harsh against reactions, the Onset mv really can't give justice, the live performance is ways better but at the same time really "abused" by youtubers reactors then was taken down, you can find camrecords that are better that the official MV :P and as many can confirm you Bandmaid is probably one of the not so many bands that sound better Live than on CD :D And because the japanese metal/hardrock world is VERY deep i have more to suggest :D Then check NEMOPHILA with "Oiran" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m9-SZbGltd3HqJc.html a fresh superband formed by girls from japanese bands and Lovebites with "When destiny align" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nrJ2mM96npm6m4E.html that maybe is not the best song but can give an idea of they play and at the same time the MV is without advertising in the middle it that really kill the moment... And i have more to suggest if you are ready :D

A certain MR EDDIE VAN HALEN would be impressed with KANAMI'S tapping technique. Originally, Kanami played Addictone guitars but once she was noticed, she’s been PRS all the way! Kanami- PRS / Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier + 8 or 9 different pedals Miku- Zemaitis Custom / EVH( EDDIE VAN HALEN ) stack + various pedals MISA- Black Cloud custom 5 string bass / Orange stack Akane- Drum Kit: Tama Star Bubinga, Snare Drum: Ludwig, Cymbals: Zildjian (left to right) Oh by the way- JIMMY PAGE OF (LED ZEPPELIN) loves BAND-MAID, enough said....
