Went to a lesbian bar for the first time ever last September. Was an interesting experience, felt super excited to be there almost like a little gayby. Didn’t know what to really expect but was surprised at how small it was, a little hole in the wall in Le Marais in Paris and the only place catering to women in a very very gay neighbourhood (tons of exclusive gay bars for men around with swathes of men hanging around). The lesbian bar was quite toned down in comparison to the gay ones, it felt quite intimate, the people there knew each other and I was just a tourist trying to strike up a conversation in my very broken French. The proprietor of the bar was a really kind old lady who wanted to create a safe place for all women, men were allowed there if they were accompanied by women. Overall it was a pleasant experience, people were mostly friendly and welcoming. My cousin who is a gay man had told me how hostile gay bars can be, I found my experience quite contrary to his - people were friendly and easy to talk to.

I agree Lilian, I’ve never understood why everyone loves drag shows! It’s literally just someone lip syncing and (usually) badly dancing to a song. I just don’t get it! Yes their outfits and makeup are great but I don’t understand why people find it so entertaining, I’d much rather just see an actual singer who’s also dressed up nice but can sing and dance well 😂 and yep, Alexis would be an amazing drag king!

Lol my first time at a gay club found a super hot interesting guy within 5-10 minutes without even trying 😂 i was literally walking around exploring the place, saw some guy i dated in the past and took the next right, then i met this guy at complete random, we both walked in practically at the same time, i just randomly started a convo and from there it was just pure vibes! Dont know where my confidence went after that though hahahaha no such thing as confidence only being automatic or worrying

I'm not happy about Costa Rica, because it means flying for a lot of people in your demographics (I'm guessing mostly Europe & the US). For me, flying is pretty much out of the question in a global climate crisis. Agreeing on a destination that can be reached without planes would have been a great idea that many potentially could have taken inspiration from.

I'm low income so I can't do much traveling. Let's face it I can't go anywhere. But I live in Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA and I'm a transwoman and I'm a lesbian. I'm still working on my transition but with me being low income it's going to be a while. To comment on your video. I hate drag shows because the republicans use it to attack transgirls and I think it puts the thought in people's heads the transgirls are just men pretending to be women. I don't like strap ons because I'm grossed out looking at my own. Sissering that doesn't sound like fun to me. Gay bars. I've never been to one. Partly because I don't drink alcohol. And I'm not around queer people much and I don't like to judge people so my gaydar doesn't work. I know it exists because I had a gay male friend who I didn't know was gay but he knew I was queer. He thought I was gay. Well he was partly right because I'm a gay woman but I was not out at the time.
