As a healthcare professional, I am so excited about this. I have had many patients lose insurance coverage, move, etc. and just feel like they didn't have any options for contraceptive coverage during this time. It's not going to be the right choice for everyone, but I believe it will fill in some significant gaps in our healthcare system.

After having a bad experience with the IUD, I wanted/needed a reliable form of BC. I’m 43 yr old woman, and since my IUD removal, I’ve had a total of 4 periods since October 2022. However, since there’s still a chance I’m ovulating. This has been a godsend. It’s affordable, and reliable. I’ve been taking it for a month now. I did notice my breasts feel fuller, and a slight increase in mood swings and appetite, but it hasn’t been manageable. No changes in menstruation (or lack of). I set the alarm on my phone for 9 pm every night so I don’t forget. 😊

Not taking it for BC, but as a way to manage periods: is Norgestrel more favorable in any way than Norethindrone?

Thank you Dr for the helpful video! If I have heavy menstrual cycle, can I use Opill to prevent too much monthly blood loss? This is not necessarily to prevent pregnancy (I have kids already). Thank you!

I have a question, Does this Opill birth control will help me if I have cyst in my uterus? Because I don’t have my period over 6 months and I did my ultrasound and found I have multiples cyst in my uterus, so I would like to know if it will help me with it.

Similar! Both are progestin only pills but Slynd is a different type of progestin and is unique among progestin only pills with having a longer effectiveness window after a missed dose and having placebo pills.
