I love how real you guys are. You're not trying to impress us with name brands and fancy equipment. Your attitude of "even if it's a dead end, it's a nice trail" is why I watch! Thank you!

Did you go all the way to the bottom of the trail for Brasstown? It's a series of four falls staring with Little Brasstown (second in the video), Cascades (first), Veil, and finally the Sluice. It's about 20 minutes from our house. If you're ever back this way we'd love to show you around more.

I have ran out of things to say because they are always the same ,just another awesome video . My daughters and I have been watching you from the beginning . What makes your videos so good is not the camera’s and all the cool places you go but that is always great too. It is the people behind the camera’s and all your friends just doing the things they love to do. I bet you have some great off camera stories around the camp fire.

Thank you for the compliments. We love all the places we go. But you are right, what makes it special is hanging out with friends around a campfire.

If it hasn’t been noted already, the waterfall is called a weir or weir dam. They are primarily used for fish habitats and oxygenation of the water in a particular area. They are short so that fish can still go up stream and spawn.

Great video - again. You were in my neck of the woods, glad you had a good ride. In fact I was on one of those trails just yesterday. As far as that man made waterfall you showed up on Hale Ridge I’ve wondered about how, and why, that was done so I’ll keep an eye on the comments to see if someone has figured that out. Keep up the great work, love your vids.

Charlie’s creek used to be soo much fun. But they recently graded the whole road. The river crossing at the end is still fun and makes the trail worth it, but it’s a shame it’s not the trail it used to be.

Great video (yet again). Y’all dipped into my camping areas getting this far south. For long weekends, we usually head up to the Clayton, GA area, and for week long trips, we venture to the GSMNP and the lower sections of the BRP. It was nice seeing some areas that I recognize. At 13:22 that’s called a weir. It’s for measuring water flow in a particular area of a creek stream or river. Sometimes for trout streams or just for monitoring water levels.

It's interesting that this video just came out as I just got home this evening from doing the Cohutta/Big Frog loop over the last few days. My plan was to work my way back home near Asheville via the Georgia Traverse, but the weather called for severe winds and rain in North Ga, and spending the night in the back of my Tacoma didn't sound like a good idea under those conditions. Being about 3 hours from home, I decided that would be the best plan. Heading back out tomorrow to go towards Pisgah and the opening of some trout streams. Another great video, I enjoy them all, but the ones where I recognize the areas are even better. Also as a newby to Gaia, your couple of videos have come in handy.

@@CoddiwompleOverland That’s good to know. Airing up and down takes a good amount of time. Especially if your back and forth dirt to pavement a lot. I use that time for the kids to get out and stretch their legs for a bit and burn off some of that endless child energy 😂
