It’s problem largely was the fact that it’s not like today’s prisons where people are separated you could’ve been put in with people who had multiple homicides for non violent crimes like stealing or drugs I don’t think everyone in the prison was exactly bad or evil it’s just you got to adapt to your situation fear is a big part of respect in prison so people who may have just made a small mistake had to be the most violent to prove themselves all and all the prison was just to over populated and corrupt on top of them not separating violent and non violent offenders we still have some very violent prisons here in West Virginia places where inmates and even guards are attacked daily but moundsville is a cool place you can google search the mound and it’s literally like a hill in the middle of town that is actually and Indian burial ground that has bodies in it to this day it’s a pretty cool place to visit

This poor woman at the end when Elton was having his weird stroke or whatever and she is just in the back watching as Brandon, Corey, and Corbin talk him out of it by squeezing his face, slapping him, saying that he is better than that, and calling him cute. No doubt in my mind that this is by far the weirdest group she has done a tour for. All while Evan is probably straight faced behind the camera because this is normal for him.

it’s so fun during halloween. there’s literally like a mini roller coaster but you’re in a coffin. so aside from the scary factor, it’s actually a really fun place to go if you’re not just looking for ghosts

I live about 45 minutes from the penitentiary and spent 12 hours over night there a few years ago. That place is crazy. The sugar shack was the most active room with all the paintings. We go big in West Virginia even with our jails!

fun fact: an inmate actually created the electric chair and they had to transfer him to a different prison because many inmate wanted and tried to kill him! (also i’m actually shocked they went somewhere i’ve actually been to)

I’m super late to this video but I live 5 minutes away from Moundsville and have lived here my entire life. My great grandma who is no longer with us had worked at the penn and when the riots happened, she was the only one that the prisoners had let out. She was a nurse and so all of the prisoners liked her because she cared for them all regardless of who they were. This is so crazy to see you guys exploring here!

When I went on a tour there, my sister took a picture in a mirror in a cell with no one behind her and in the mirror off to her left there was a person it looked like he might have been a sailor. He had a sailor hat. It was creepy. By far one of my favorite places in WV

I went on a tour there not to long after they closed in the 90s & it was super creepy& that was during the day. 😂 My Dad was an inmate there in the 70s & said he definitely had haunted experiences during his time there.

1. I could have gone my entire life without knowing the original use for chainsaws, especially as a female. 😖 2. I feel a lot better about the fact that I could identify that as a garrote now that I know that at least one other person knew what it was. Makes me feel less like I should be concerned about the things I know.

Corey is scared because he has his own very negative experiences with spirits and knows more than the rest of them what they’re capable of. He has also been dealing with them since he was just a child, Elton is a skeptic, Corbin is purely intrigued, and brandon is still very new to all of this.

^^ ever since I was little I’ve had to deal with demons and spirits. It’s really scary. But it’s been a couple years since anything crazy has happened and I’ve been wanting to go and see something but When it comes to actually doing it I get such a bad feeling and am so scared.

@@Tata83102 exactly. When you’ve had experiences and know the possibilities of what could happen it’s a lot more intense vs never having gone or being new to it. Like brandon is a prime example of that because he reacts to it all like a kid. But corey knows what they’re dealing with and what they could possibly see / hear.
