Overnight Camping at Brainard Lake 2023

A quick overnight camping trip to Brainard Lake to get out of the city, away from the summer heat, and continue working out the kinks in our camping setup while testing out the new gear. Again, Denver nearing the mid 90s while at Brainard Lake we would enjoy the mid 60s with overnight temps a mild 40s. Other than a quick moving storm producing some pea sized hail, the weather was perfect! We would have loved to stay longer, but our schedule remains tight ever since the 4-minute hailstorm at the beginning of the season changed everything.

We're getting there, a few more changes, additions, and quirks to work out. We'll be glamping in style for sure, though, every need met especially for the kids, when they go with us 😎🐾

Brainard is amazing. It is a home away from home in and of itself. So many wonderful memories and experiences have been made there. The setup is coming along, a few more changes, additions, and quirks to still work out.

Brainard Lake is a family favorite and holds a special place in our hearts. Pawnee Campground is great, as far as car camping goes, it's aces with us, especially with access to plenty of trails! The bathroom/shower combo is a game changer!
