Once had a trailer torsion bar pin trapped by a welded modification, I had to slide a hacksaw blade in between the bar and the bracket, wrap it with a rag and cut it with a 3 inch travel, the pin was an inch and a half thick, it took a whole shift to cut through. That was 25 years ago, i still have nightmares about it 😱

I am always so impressed at how clean and tidy you keep your farm. On the other side of the spectrum is Tom Pemberton . Although there was a moment a few weeks ago he was cleaning out the big shed but right at the last bit he didn’t go that extra inch with the pass that makes the difference and now it doesn’t look like it has been touched. I know he watches your channel and maybe it is influencing him into realising that the first big clean is then followed by much easier .

If ya click on the link it will bring you to georges video from 10 months ago, I left a comment there because he was revving the living fuck out of the pump and had 4 ~15ft pipes connected onto each other (if my memory serves correctly) I asked him why doesn't he back up all the way and it would put less pressure on the pump to draw it that far and also said you mustn't care about the pump the way you are revving it (which i meant in a humorous way but he didn't see it that way) he pinned the comment and said about how I get the privilege of being pinned for knowing so much about vacuum pumps Thats basically it 😂 (Looked back through the video and it was 3 20ft pipes)

You need to make T-shirts 😀"Not working out? Just use a bigger hammer" Thanks for the laugh. I need to overseed too. Using a spring tine harrow and a broadcast seeder is brilliant. I thought I would have to buy a no-till seed drill. My ground used to be part of a dairy (closed on the 1970s) and the ground is still high in phosphorus (low nitrogen, so wanting to overseed with a bit of white clover - will be a horse pasture - and mixed grasses). Do you have any issues with excess phosphorus from spreading dairy slurry?
@IFarmWeFarm
@IFarmWeFarm 3 жыл бұрын
No actually our land was low in phosphorus on our last soil test, PH was between 5.3/5.8. So we are liming our land this year. I would worry about nitrogen levels, just get the P & K correct. A high phosphorus level can leave cattle lacking in Copper so watch out for that one. Rare though

No I have a family and bills to take care of too which requires full time commitment. There’s so many factors involved like weather and market prices too so it’s impossible to really answer that question as everyone’s different. I’d hate to see the man with 50 cows or less disappear, the next 10 years will be very important
