I did "the process" for the first time this year and MAN it feels good seeing the lawn come back better than EVER after putting in all that hard work. My neighbors were like wadafuq he doin?? 🤣 But hey, they have crusty ass wheat and weeds, so by contrast they are helping my lawn POP.

cool follow up especially in the summer!? you have temparant weather at that time to do what you needed to do, so you good! i have pretty much all the similar equipment you have but surprise you don't have a peat moss spreader. with all the $$$ you've spent that should come soon. just like you did by hand last fall and said to self never again and pulled the trigger to get the landzie and my achy body thanked me with extra energy to keep going. appreciate your content and inspiration that with commitment and determination it is possible! keep up the great work yardbrah!!😊

Full send dude. I planted ryegrass middle of July last year 90+ degrees came in like a champ and germinated in 3 days lol. Just gotta watch out for pythium trying to keep the soil wet when its hot as balls. I put down Subdue Maxx and didn’t have an issue.

I have that same crazy disease looking grass when I look into the turf. Can't wait to do an overseeding this fall. Way to warm already on long island ny. I'll be getting a bag of gci spreading fescue for father's day (wink wink). I'll use your steps for the overseeding. Now I gotta tell Alexa to play country music

😂😂😂 nice! Yeah after close inspection the orange blades don’t look like rust 🤔 but it’s everywhere def some kind of fungus but the box store products won’t help I’ve been though 4 bags these season no results 😑😂😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾

same here. just recently temp went up. sooo humid! I applied scotts disease EX twice already and still getting yellowing and dollar spots. I did a full lawn reno and reseeded last week. Summer like weather started, then temp drops next week. its gonna be a challenge,,, but nothing will stop us 😎😎

You have expired me to fix up my lawn. I have a Ryobi mower and I love it. I mow at level 3 and it cuts perfect.I am also trying to learn how to edge with a regular string trimmer, do you have any advice?Love your video’s.

You know I noticed the faster you go the easier and straighter the lines… also maybe try taking off the guard I heard it helps with seeing where the line is and wear eye protection!!! That Scott’s Rye grass sucks I did some spot seeding late last fall and those spots are lighter green than the quality rye I used for the main renovation just heads my dude!😎😎😎

If you got a local landscaping supply store you can get a truckload and it might actually be cheaper to rent a truck for the day and pick it up. This is of course assuming the prices are better at the landscaping store. We saved a lot of money doing it that way. Keep up the good work!

I just cut my yard monday i put some scotts Bermuda grass and Pennington Bermuda as well cause i live in west texas i watered the grass Tuesday night for about 2 hrs at night yesterday i raked on the bald spots i had and layed seeds with my hand spreader on 5th setting and then watered yard for about 2 hrs after laying seeds untill about 10pm and then it sprinkled light till this morning around 6am now ill water it again tonight or should i do it 3 times a day insted of once a day 2 hrs in the later afternoon around 8pm which would be better thanks for the help as well

If I have already used a tiller to till my yard and smooth it out, do I still need aerate the soil with my Amex soil plugger.

Tilling is technically loosening the soil I would save it for spring for sure you should be good my dude 😊🤙🏾

I know you use pgr.. in some cases it helps( pgr and overseeding ) and in some it hurts.. we well see..depends in the grass grass types in cool season grass. I think you run a cool season if not mistaken

I say sell the ego you just fixed for the same amount as the lanzie peatmoss spreader. Trust me it's a game changer, I have 2 one homemade one and a lanzie one. Definitely worth the money.

Tenacity in the spring and fall but for now I would probably use a triple action weed and feed or even the ortho or round up for lawns kills the weeds not the lawn 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾

Hope all is well, have you came across the Green Scott lawn aerator yet? Unique idea having the lawn aerator to attach to one of the mower wheels to mow and aerate at same time, thinking of picking one up soon as prices don’t seem too bad. Just unsure how well it’ll work.

I have I have my hesitations on that product… seems like it just makes the lawn mower bounce so your cut is uneven.. and it’s like $80……. So you go one pass with the mower with it on then you have to recut cause it’s uneven… might just have to buy it and do a review 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

@@YardBrah oh snap, don’t even think about that. Any area on lawn that isn’t soft will for sure not get aerated and also have the mower lift, skipping over grass. Well, maybe it would be a good thing to test if they’d send one over to you… shoot I might even buy it and mod it to a car rotor and have a pseudo rolleraerator instead for a lot cheaper. I’d have to see… but might be a fun project to try out

@@RedlineGeckos you’re on to something if you just add a handle that would be a decent aerator! Thats what they should do and compete with roll aerator. Build quality looks good but to put on a lawn mower… I’ll pass on that I enjoy my roll aerator separate from my mowing 😂😂😂😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

I got a discount on a Lesco fertilizer bag on HD. I didn't even ask for it. Got home to later see it was all clumped due to the humidity. It was the last bag, I just wanted to try something different. guess I will dissolve that and spray. Or put it under the trees. lol

For cool season I really want to try lesco it’s pretty expensive and nothing but great reviews. I guess barenbrug is part of the elite cultivars too didn’t realize how much I spent on it 😂😂😂 but is expensive elite? Gotta do more research 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

How did the overseeding turn out? Did it grow for you? I think if you can keep enough moisture in it, you can get seed to germinate even if it is too warm. It also grows at night time too when the temperatures are not a hot. Also, the seed will likely grow in the fall if it can't in the summer. It will likely hibernate and wait for the right growing conditions to develop.

Dip into some liquid iron on your next tank. Not too expensive and very necessary for the NW climate. (No wah-pah to send out the vid? Take care man. )

I'm not a lawn expert, but bro, I think you might need to dig up those sidewalks if you want them right. It looks to my untrained eyes like the town or city only gave you 2-3 inches of topsoil and you probably have a compacted clay cap under that and arent getting drainage. Maybe just dig a test hole down like 6-8 inches and check out whats going on underneath. No fertilizing is gonna fix a drainage issue.

doesnt look like disease bor, its just thatch. Regular certicutting and scarifying will keep thatch u nder ontrol.

Thatch is in between soil and grass... this was the grass blades that were orange and red... did this overseed and now the grass blades are all green all the way down to the soil 😂😊🙏🏾🤙🏾

@@YardBrah I also used compost but it didn’t stop a certain type of bird but helped a lot because I hadn’t scarified in many years with a proper scarifier and I had no grass left so had to start from scratch to do a full lawn which is about the size of a tennis court

@@edub7537 oh... I don't think that would be a good idea brotha... I would overseed with another bermuda seed... I'm not sure you are pretty close to the transition zone but I'm pretty sure you are in the warm season grass category... def overseed with some Berumda to be safe 😊🤙🏾 hit up twincityseed.com and tell them yardbrah sent you they will take care of you... ask them some questions too and tell them you're in Houston they will guide you! 🙏🏾

If you don’t have a weasel I highly recommend one. They are inexpensive and are excellent for little projects like this. Got mine from Home Depot. They work great when you want to make sure the seed makes soil contact.
