It's so strange to see someone not knowing about ABBA, I keep forgetting they might not have been born then.

This was recorded for a German TV show in Stockholm in autumn 1980. Abba had received treats to be kidnapped at this time, and the Swedish police has advised them not to travel abroad. But the German TV guys wanted Abba so desperately on their show that they flew to Stockholm and recorded it there. Abba also sang "Super Trouper" and "On and on and on".

Imagine getting divorced from your husband who is in the same band, he writes a song about it which you have to sing & it becomes an international hit....that's really 'putting it out there'. It's amazing when people of todays generation discover Abba, the multi-hit soundtrack to my (and many others) youth back in the 70's. It amazes me even more when some say they've never listened to Abba. It's a bit like saying you've never heard the Beatles or Elvis. I'm getting old!!........

ABBA - first initials of each band member, who were two married couples. Both marriages ended in divorce. I think it was Bjorn who wrote this & had his soon to be ex-wife sing lead vocals. She clearly didnt get what the song is about. Agneta who is lead singer was married to Bjorn on guitar. They went through a heartbreaking divorce where Bjorn choose Agnetas best friend over his wife. Bjorn wrote the song about their divorce, Agneta sing it standing infront of her unfaithful soon to be ex-husband. Thats a pure pro!
