Thanks ovvy without your tutorials i wouldn't be in division one in seasons and ultimate team. I really did need this defending tutorial and thanks to it I have a 7 game win streak and a 11 game streak without my opponent scoring more than 1 goal so thanks again ovvy

Ovvy, like always great video with seamless instructions you hit almost all my questions with each vid. like this one for instance I catch my self diving in on players trying to take away possession and it leaves my opponent with a huge lane to drive. but I now see the ability to sit back and make them screw the pooch. keep'em coming broham!

Please do a video on "Contain". Its a large mystery to many people after the introduction of Tactical Defending. Do you just hold the Contain button? Or do you accompany it with direction buttons? Can u contain and sprint at the same time? When to do Contain defending? Do we even need to use Contain at all?

lol i became strong at defending on fifa 14 and rarely conceded except from a corner or something, but when i played fifa 15 for the first time the other day, the very first seasons game i had, the guy just ran from kick off and scored in about 3 seconds! my first thought was 'wow, what have they done to this game? i'm getting a bit more used to it now but still feel uneasy whenever i'm being attacked, even by a bad player! this is a good vid and shows it CAN be done, but requires ultimate concentration as attacking is heavily favoured now

same thing happened to me i was good at defending more than attacking since the first installments of fifa i rarely concede goals but now thing are a bit different some matches end up like a massacre

Amazing tutorial Ovvy. Now is clear how to use it correctly. Sometimes I was using the jockey with the sprint buttom pressed and the precision was the problem. Sometimes it left too much space for the opponent perform a skill move and beat the defenders. I also use contain, but for sure let much space for the opponent. I have to practice a lot to master this technique. The sprint players are being used too much in FIFA 15. I had problems to defend againt CR7. These tips will help a lot. Thanks very much bud. Your channel became reference in FIFA content. Everyday I come here to watch something new & like the vids. Last year the Custom tactics tutorial helped a lot to get a balanced team. For sure you're doing tests to supply us a good content. When you start the live streaming, I'd love to play against you even My chances to win are smaller than 0.00000000000001%, but for sure I will learn a lot :D Congrats bud!

Hey, Great Video Ovvy! Just thought i'd throw this out there. People who are sick and tired of defending the likes of Ronaldo, Bale, Messi etc There is a way to avoid them by playing 4 star or less and changing the match settings to "Match Mine" U still get some great teams and players + it feels more like a real soccer match to me. +Luke Mines Hmm maybe should try that. I have Barcelona and 9 out of 10 opponents pick Real or Bayern. There is no variation. Maybe go down in stars and there are more teams and people actually play real football then just pass Ronaldo and run.

ovvy your videos are great, showed me alot on fifa so am sure this has helped me get to division 1, when do you use the a button contain because i never use the a contain so i may be missing on on something its good for, also what is usually the best way to defend in your own box, i finding it really hard to tackle in my own box because just a slight push pull and it penalty almost every time, i usually just try stand in the way press nothing and hope my opponent misses so i need do better at defending in my own box

I tried all this tips,i also checked another tutorials and practice a lot,still when i play online the opponent allways seems to be a step forward my defenders are always a step back no matter what i do in the game. Ever since fifa 14 i simply cant defend,and what i hate the most when u clear the ball from a corner or a cross the ball all the time go's to the opponent no matter in what direction i cleared it the opponent is always first to the ball. Good tutorial btw. All tutorials u made are awsome but the only one i cant manage is the defence. Peace

Thanks for the tips. I still think the defense is non existent in the game. So many times I find myself 3-0 down in the first half and make the miracle in Istanbul in the second half. Too easy to score and too easy to concede.

nothing I do when im defending works they opponent can always get past me but when im attacking he wins the ball quickly and easily, its soo fucking annoying. the opponents players wil steam in and win the ball every time but my players are slow to react, wont close the ball down and generally play like shit, what is going on? im in div 3 currently is there some new defending technique I should be doing because everyone I play seems to be doing the same and I just cant win!! the players will be pretty much stationary and its impossible to dribble past or even make space. yet when its me the opponent has free runs and can literally do whatever the fuck he wants its fucking bulllshit

I do try to back off and jockey/standing tackle/slide tackle. What annoys me is when (Ronaldo more often than not) sprints, then changes direction on a diagonal. I know exactly what I want my player to do, but they're so stupid on this game, they'll get sucked in, when I want them to back off. Is there an option to give my players a footballing brain, instead of one made of Play-Doh? Currently I start with sliders set to 20 for aggression, so they should sit back. Help me Ovvy..... you're my only hope.

This is easy to counter by sprinting/dribbling from out wide diagonally across the area. The defenders are square on and so don't have the acceleration to keep up with the dribbler. The defender's AI sucks balls leaving wide open spaces which makes it even easier

Nice tip on closing the sprint though easier said than done. The worst players are the ones picking Real Madrid and pretty much all the do is pass Ronaldo and abuse the sprint.

Amazing video! :) Can You share how do You set your mentality during the game? I tried playing on balanced or even defensive but noticed that sweaty teams were able to do just one long ground through pass to their attackers and they were 1 on 1 with my GK. When I set to ultra def or park the bus it's a bit better but then I get less of my players going up making it harder to attack. Do You have any advice on that? Also... how do You switch players in defense? With LB or the right stick?

MrMatiu Hello, your english is very good dont worry, I use both LB and the Right Stick to change players, depending on my needs during the game. I need to do a tutorial on that also, so you get to see exactly what I mean :)

so the problem i have with this is sometimes i tackle as i turn towards my own goal and they keep sprinting and just take the ball straight back from me... alot of times im able to just pass back to my keeper but sometimes i just cant get rid of the ball fast enough.

ovi can u please help me..frate...i am facing a lot of defending problems..when i have the ball the other teams player if they just touch me i am flying off the ball and there is no call for a foul...how can i change this..what settings do they use for this to happen..they hardly touch me but i am doing flips in the air and fall without any calls...please help me..mersi..

man that is bull...how can i do the same..because when i press circle they never fly off the ball..if i am getting an air ball..and someone is behind me i can clearly see how they use their hands to push me forward and i fall they get the ball..can u make a tutorial how you can do this in a game..push someone to fly lol and not get a foul every time..also if u can do a tutorial on air balls..how if u are behind someone how u can push him with ur hands or palms forward and still receive the ball..its really confusing how this can happen not just once in a while..but everytime..and it works for them...i can press the left trigger on ps4 all they long it does not help me when they use that touch and fly method..please can u do a tutorial on lets just call it touch and fly..tutorial..lol..please ovy.because nobody understands how this can really happen..this would be so helpful for me i am so frustrated because it works every single time..and i just dont get it..i am better than these teams but they have this touch and fly advantage...please it would be so helpful for everyone..because i am sure its not just me who experience this..thank you ahead...

Ovvy Could you help me out my ultimate team formation is 4-1-2-1-2 and when I go into a game it changes my formation and when I go to change it back to 4-1-2-1-2 it's not even listed in the formations in the game
