So here's the formula in this video: look at any person, ask yourself how many offers they're getting in a day. Offers could mean wanting to talk, wanting to go do something together, wanting to do business or any type of intimate activity together. If that person is getting whatever you're offering too often per day, that for them to say YES to you, they'd be busy all day SAYING YES TO EVERYONE, then your offer is physically impossible to receive. What you have to do instead is switch things up, be more original, remove the downside, add value, have a good follow up system via social media, and then suddenly THEY CAN SAY YES. If you simply take these basic steps, YOU SUDDENLY BECOME THE PERSON WHO IS OVERWHELMED WITH OPTIONS. You in effect "flip the script" and become the person who everyone wants things from. It's all so simple, and yet most people will NEVER DO IT. Why? They're in a derp state, traumatized, and unwilling to "think outside themselves". Then, if anyone gives them a talk like this, they get all upset. So they're permanently stuck. A talk like this won't be popular, but I know that if you're ready to hear it, it will change your life. Good luck and let me know what you think -Owen

Thanks for this quick summary. Is it possible in some way to buy and watch some more videos from these last seminars? hdd write " be more original, remove the downside, add value, have a good follow up system via social media". problem is how to deal with people in derp state. You see eg. girl on the street and she is in derp state.

Best birthday gift ever! This video got uploaded on my birthday. You guys are always bringin' so much freakin' value and the talk about "how to connect with new people" really resonated with me. One of the best things that Julien talks about in his other videos, in my opinion, is around the topic on trauma. When you take "action" and get "triggered", you have 4 options (but only one works). 1: Distract yourself with social media, tv shows or games. 2: Numb yourself with alcohol or drugs 3: Lash out on the person who triggered you 4: The one that actually works is release that uncomfortable feeling that comes up when you get triggered. And you've gotta repeat that every time you get triggered. Same goes for when you can't stay in the present moment and you feel like distracting yourself with something that buries the "triggered" feeling. If you don't release whatever comes up then you're gonna stay stuck in your ego and continue being easy manipulated. Therefore not being in control of your life. I learned this stuff through Juliens TM program and it has changed my whole view on life exponentially. The TM program helped me tremendously when I was at my lowest. To be connected to your emotions is a strength, but being run by an emotional state can be detrimental and cause a lot of self sabotage. Therefore if you're stuck in an emotional state and not letting it go, then you're NEVER gonna reach your wildest dreams or become at ease with reality. Because your self-defence mechanisms are protecting your ego to stay in scarcity. And you're ego is only gonna let you have some success before you start self-sabotaging. Because you can't handle your shit if you aim too high. Why do people who win the lottery blow their money so quickly? Because deep down they don't think they deserve it. The same goes for romantic relationships and friendships. If it gets "too good" then you're automatically gonna go back as quick as possible to what feels the most comfortable for you. A.k.a your comfort zone, a.k.a staying in a "derp state". If you wanna live a happier life and you don't feel like you are, then you've gotta commit to your mental health first. So remember: Action --> triggered --> release --> repeat. You're one step closer if you read all of this. But only a few people are gonna take action. Peace.

it's funny how this video got recommended to me. Recently during the workout I had the same exact thoughts Owen is expressing at 3:30-3:50. Objective truth is simple. Most of us, the herd, knows what's right and what's wrong but we can't defend on our opinion. We are afraid of the original thought because shadowing someone else's is safer. This is one of the best Owen's speeches!
@davidtolle95332 жыл бұрын
"Freeing up mental bandwidth" It's true isn't it? That a lot of us have too much going on inside our minds that it takes away our ability to effectively process the current moment. It's likely painful to be present so what little bandwidth we have left is used to do things that bascially distracts us from that pain and then we're locked into place. Once that mode is habitualized, we're gone unless some outside force comes in and shakes us out of it(like what owen does in almost every video). It's a little mind blowing to think about because the glimpses of breaking out that we get and try to share so that someone we care about could see what we see or so that we can at least be validated, effectively gets rejected. It's like a defense mechanism for derpers. "Oh no! Truth that hurts. Ah i dont like this..." Distraction distraction distraction. And in this current era there it is way too easy to slip into distractions. It certainly takes a special kind of person to break out of it or it takes a special kind of person to help others to break out of it. I'm going to watch this again. Also love the thumbnail toyblock letter font. I take it as a title for kids since mentally and emotionally, a lot of us are(including myself) and the things in this vid are pretty basic in the grand scheme of things... I get the feeling Owen has some mindbenders in his back log that a lot of us probabaly aren't ready for. Bring it on!

Key takeaways: 12:05 - 13:02, 37:12 - 38:47 Don't try to rebuild the ego when there is an attack on it. Stop making it about you. How can I connect to THEIR reality (Jim Carrey's epiphany) 23:35 - 25:40 There's a key point somewhere in here about finding a "mutual yes" but I kinda still don't get that portion. My takeaway is "just BE a friend, stop trying so hard to go above and beyond yourself" 29:22 - 37:11 (30:00 main point) It's actually a good thing for higher profile people if you can seem as if you don't care if the other person is there or not. Remove downside 38:48 - 39:45 Remove trauma to stop being offended and be able to think where other people are coming from 39:47 - end. Trauma colors how you perceive the world preventing you from seeing how things really are, and gives you excuses to not take action. Micromanaging an image is maintaining a front, it's being inauthentic, rebuilding the ego house.
@lifeskillsongs2510 Жыл бұрын
Interesting takeaways - i hadn't seen your comment til now and my 3 big takeaways were totally different...My 4th one falls inside of yours though, @ 24:09 - it's a uniquely human sickness how envy becomes moral superiority - not unlike how feeling threatened becomes racial prejudice. Some INSANE ways humans psychologically cope, for sure.

Very appreciative that you posted this. If guys really understood what you're talking about here, 90+ percent of their social limitations would be handled. 22:18 Ever hooked up with a less attractive chick, just cause she was into you and you were "excitable", then she wants "something more" afterwards? Yup, exactly 💯. 27:47 This isn't complicated, just find events in your area you enjoy, and invite people low-key like Owen describes @~ 32:00 or so. Things you enjoy regardless of whether the other person comes. 37:45 "I always have something to give everyone in every situation...give them the benefit of the doubt, give them an opportunity to be themselves, give them an opportunity to talk to you, and to escape their lives, give them a break". -Brent Smith Lifestyle

15:01 - 15:31 @Owen Cook Free Tour - I know you're onto something big here, and def wanna see your thoughts if you ever expand that into "like 12 hours of content" lol. Here's 1 thing I'd like to contribute on this: So often an axiom in this space is "being man to woman". And that's correct, that's not wrong at all. But now we're going in a direction society-wide, where I think we need to reexamine this with fresh eyes. I've heard multiple women say to me recently (basically) "do you know how many guys just want to sleep with me?" - and they're telling the truth - the cause should be obvious, swipe apps and Instagram, etc. Which leads me to this conclusion: it's time to 90-99% reduce verbal expressions of man to woman, and stick to just having that vibe and that natural intent as a man, still being bold and dominant but without explicitly saying anything that sets off her "oh hes just trying to bang me" button. Because the dynamic I see today is different than even 10 years ago, and I think *this* is the way her feel special and see you as special (so that she wants to chase/invest) now in 2022.

~ 26:00 yes: I used to be cynical about stepping up because I wanted it to be convenient, I wanted it to be congenial to my inner little bitch (aka ego), I wanted growth without leaps of faith involved. but as I find myself taking more and more action I see what "effortless effort" truly means. this is what Owen et al reminds (and inspires in) us in these brilliant talks: we must follow our deeper impulse against the grain of our fear (aka collective mushmind) and let the truth (aka God) EVOLVE through us.

Owen I think you should do something about the loudness level in your videos. In short, there’s almost no dynamic range, meaning the loudest sound and the quietest sound don’t vary much. This leads to the audio sounding “loud” without you actually clipping. If you check out your own video from 7-8 years ago, you’ll notice that the audio level are much less compressed, which leads to more of a natural and appealing sounding audio. (Here compression doesnt mean audio quality, but the compression of dynamic range) In the past few years, whenever I watch ur videos I have to turn the volume almost all the way down, something I never do with anyone else’s videos. I suspect that when your team is recording, the audio level is set too high, and then they are using a hard limiter to compensate, this means the audio doesn’t clip, but that also leads to no dynamic range. That or the audio compressor setting is out of whack when they are editing in post. I believe good video/audio quality is one of the reason you attracted a lot of viewers in the past, I’ve been wanting to write this comment for a long time but was always too lazy to do so, of course it’s just one person’s opinion but I really think this is something to look into.
