I still love the fact that out of everyone in the crew, Barnaby was the first to kill a person lol that just blows my mind but whats even crazier is the fact that he actually killed 5 people in a single night and it's never been mentioned in canon lol. Remember the balloon race? yeah, barnaby pushed that 1 guy off the balloon - that's kill #1, but then he also sabotaged the billhooks(?) balloon and it caught fire with all 4 people on board, in mid-flight and soon or later those poor buggers are gonna plummet back to earth. Which means Barnaby killed 5 people in a single night - highest body count to date.

He has zero talents or skills that actually help the gang or even *himself* survive - the only thing he ever carries is booze, he never knows what the hell is going on, but he just wont die and when he does get injured like he did in the last episode "oh what boom miracle cure for barnaby!!! and his crit 6s" because apparently the devil just bloody loves him lol it's brilliant.

That was flawless comedic serendipity. If it happened during a typical game at home, the other players would be asking "why is he trying to blow our cover?", but with this gang it was not only in character, but they also slickly turned it into a funny story beat.

My current character is in a similar position. Dummy, nitwit Sorcerer who fell into a pact with a Demon. Sorlock. But I play him like the goofball he started as. He used to refuse the call of Eldritch Blast but now he can't. So the DM is probably going to make me go full Warlock. I'm intimidated by how to change the way I play him once he makes the dive into evil. How do you go from Dob to Prudence?

Barnabys very first roll (I think) Mike resisted the results and when Zillah almost killed the guy outside the Spinning Top room are the only 2 times I can recall them resisting the results of rolls. If they remembered that mechanic it would be very helpful ro them. Tho I think Johnny may forget it on purpose.

They're such improv geeks (which I love), I think they like it when everything goes to heck, agreed. I do hope they remember it as a way to avoid harm, though! It's built-in heroic plot armor, and makes fun crazy risks a lot more attractive because they can still survive if they completely screw up.

Seen as this series takes place in the same world as Oxventure it both saddens and intrigues me to see what has happened to Geth. Was it simply the loss of magic that caused the destruction of the world, or did something else cause the creation of the deathlands?

My bet is that the Oxventurers had something to do with it. They got fooled into releasing old rooster legs, the creep who stole Prudence's powers and tried to destroy Geth with cursed wine. So if they were tricked by Vocatus, then I bet they could get tricked by some other terrifying, world-ending demon and the only way to stop that demon is to somehow remove all magic from the world.

I watch every single video oxboxtra publish, many of them several times. I go to sleep with them. I genuinely love all of them. Ive been really enjoying this series, and luke has consistently shone brighter and brighter in the role as dm. I mean no shade on johnny when i say this but i feel that it's possible that just like with luke and mike in the soulsborne games, similarly with luke and jonny in the dm'ing world, the student may have passed the master, which has lead to this brilliant series. Well done luke, and oxboxtra for your brilliance and wonderful community.

I always pictured horrors like being "Dire ghosts", and ghosts are already pretty deadly. Also, I'm thinking of acquiring blades in the dark and suggesting it to my group. It sounds really fun to play

Good job by Edvard, but seeing as how trains are primarily used for travel between cities -- ie. through the Deathlands -- I would have thought Barnaby's carriage was already equipped with ghost/horror-repelling equipment. Although it's not far fetched from the Fortesque family to own a train carriage just for the sake of owning one.

They didn't mention him losing a coat in the score with Edvard and the diving bell. Nor did they mention him losing a coat in the spooky castle with uncle Monty and Zillah. We just assume it happens.
