Me and my group did a pokemon d&d oneshot where we basically went from Pallet Town to Viridian City to get Professor Oak’s parcel and bring it back to him. The oneshot ended with a boss fight against Giovanni, who had captured professor oak trying to steal the pokemon at the lab. We battled his Nidoking but the battle went from a battle against our starter pokemon against his Nidoking to us trainers pushing around and beating up Giovanni himself while our pokemon prevented his Nidoking from helping him. The battle ended with Giovanni being so badly hurt that he ended the battle and his Nidoking had to carry him out of the lab, it was the funniest crap ever so I can’t wait to see what this ends up looking like

The dynamic of how Meowth slowly questioned his life choices, Skull fought against his own clearly inherent weaknesses to become a true villain, and Pearl reluctantly and continually gave into the violence until being the hero(villain) TR needed just for her backpack worked for one insanely likeable watch.

1:40:20 The moment that made me almost choke on my food, such a funny session. Johnny didn’t really roll a lot I think, but they were so great and every time they started up a letter I knew I would lose it. Ellen looked like she was having the time of her life, and I appreciate her trying to roleplay as a nice person even though Andy’s shenanigans were having none of it lol. I cannot imagine all the work Luke had to have done to make this work. And everything Andy did made me double over, because you never expect what he’s gonna do next.

For the record, in the old games at least (idk about the modern ones), when all your pokemon faint, the message says you "whited out" not blacked out. So you aren't passed out and carried to a pokemon center, its more like your character gets so incredibly panicked that they don't remember sprinting full-speed back.

I dont think ive ever laughed harder than everytime Andy went to fight the pokemon/other trainers on his own, but the 12 rare candy in the stomach of the beast might take the cake.

I'm disappointed they didn't steal the Beedrill. Maybe I'm the evil one, but my first thought when the Clefairies went to sleep was, how many do their Pokemon need to push into the hole to level up. Then push all but two in, and capture those two.

This was amazing, though I would also love them to play AS the Pokémon, Mystery Dungeon-style. That would be pretty rad. Also, I would watch the hell out of Dungeons & Dragons...but It's Digimon. Trust me, you'd have two people watching it!!!
