I don't understand all the trolling on Gus; he played the Jake solo flawlessly and his own lead over the outro vamp was absolutely killing! I think some of you need to get over your emotional attachments to the Ozzy guitarists of days past.

After all the things Ozzy has done to himself over the years, be it drugs or alcohol, I'm amazed that he's still alive and rockin' the vocals. I saw him in St. Louis, January of this year. The whole band was fantastic. Personally, I love Zakk's work with Ozzy and BLS, but Gus has made the band so much better.. Ozzy Osbourne: one of the best vocalists ever and one of the few artists responsible for my musical inspiration.

Gus G. (Kostas Karamitroudis) is a real nice guy, and an excellent metal guitar player! I have his other band's CD's (FIREWIND), and it truly is great stuff! The man has chops and feel too!

Insanely good and probably highly underrated. Don't see enough of Gus. Amazingly melodic as well as technically amazing.

Gus isn't a bad guitarist. Unfortunately, he is expected by many to be another Randy type clone, which is probably not going to happen. He's not my favorite, but I like him in Ozzy opposed to Zakk. History dictates that Ozzy changes guitarists every so often, so I'll enjoy Gus while he pays his dues.

I remember the original tour supporting this album back in 86 with Jake. Gus is just as good in his own way, just like all the Ozzy guitarist. Amazing musicians, all of them

Ozzy's had some truly outstanding musicians through the years but for me, Jake E Lee was his best guitarist. Not saying he was any better than the rest in ability, just loved his style of playing. Randy was awesome too.

if you listen to some of his firewind stuff it is much more technical and fast than his ozzy stuff, he is truly an amazing guitarist

I heard of Gus G before anyone remotely knew who he was in like 2002 or so with Firewind. He did a an Instrumental song "The Fire And The Fury" and I was floored, especially at the end. I said to myself this guy is going somewhere big. I WAS RIGHT! I just didn't know how big! Now unfortunately for him, people will probably only remember him from Ozzy. I hope he gets with a bigger band, even though Firewind are still killer!

This drummer is a BEAST and Gus G.'s tone is like a 2x4 to the face.

One thing Gus brought is the capability and willingness to play these songs. ( Ultimate Sin era). He didnt bring an issue that Ozzy should only play this song and this song. This is the best mix of Ozzy songs in a long time. True Ozzy has his " classic albums" but every album/era has some GREAT songs on them. He didnt write any of the songs on the album but lets see what Ozzy/Gus team can bring to the table next album.

My list of Ozzy's best guitarists; Randy, Jake, Gus, Zakk. I gave Jake second because he was a more than acceptable replacement for Randy and Gus got third because he's like a mix of Randy and Jake. Zakk's a monster on guitar, but he's a one-trick pony; southern rock with pinch harmonics. Not taking away from Zakk's ability as he's a far better guitarist than i am, but Gus is closer to the classic Ozzy than Zakk ever was.

Gus G also commanded respect for all his predecessors. He claimed no gauntlet. He served. And he served the songs. Therefore he is the best next to Randy by understanding the spirit.

Who the heck cares about the gut? He is 62 people! The guy is amazing, still rocking and going strong! I was in that show, absolutely awesome!!! If I had a bucket list it would have been more than complete, I saw Ozzy!!!!

zakk wylde le dio un toque único a la música de ozzy, eso es algo que ninguno de los otros guitarristas pudo hacer, zakk tiene un estilo único, para mi es el mejor guitarrista que ha tenido ozzy. No sólo es la velocidad o la técnica, es un conjunto de aptitudes en las cuales zakk wylde supera a los otros!!!

@MrCanzara Gus G is already a superstar, the guy has had almost 10 (or 10 exactly, not really sure) years playing with a prog/metal band named Firewind. To say the least Gus G is the most technical guitarrist Ozzy has ever had, maybe not as much stage presence as RR and Zakk but he sure as hell plays one mean lead guitar.

Zakk Wylde is hands down the best live player, and arguably the best guitar player to play in Ozzy's band. He replaced a legend, created his own sound and resurrected Ozzy's career during the grunge 90's. He has the best tone and all around talent imo. No disrespect to Randy, Jake, Gus or the guy from Night Ranger. : D

I KNOW that Gus G. is an AWESOME guitarist!!! But imagine if Randy Rhoads still where with Ozzy to this day? I would be the happiest person in the world! Im I the only one who is thinking that?

Randy and Jake...imo best two guitarist Ozzy has employed. Based on their technical abilities, knowledge and application of music theory,song writing,dynamics , phrasing and stage presence. Jake owned this song and Ultimate Sin recording. I miss JAKE!!!

@ChrisRinaldiMusic You're totally right. I'm the biggest Zakk Wylde fan you'll ever talk to. I think he matured past the point where he was contributing anything to the Ozzy stuff. I love Zakk but I'm glad Ozzy got Gus G. It was a shot in the arm his sound needed. Plus Zakk can concentrate totally on the awesome BLS stuff and it'll be that much better. Nothing will ever take away from the amazing work Ozzy and Zakk did together. That'll live on forever.

Brad Gillis did a TREMENDOUS job stepping into a very difficult position at an extremely difficult time for the band. He had the ability and the respect to approach Randy's parts the way they need to be played. He usually doesn't get the credit he deserves for his time with Ozzy.

The thing I love most about Zakk Wylde is he takes a song and injects with 10 times more energy than it had. Gus just makes me think he just got done with band at school and knows all the notes...yay! Put some FEEL in it boy.

@MrCanzara NOt really ranting were just saying that Gus G is a very good musician and that he deserves a chance like any other guy before you start bashing on him. I just gave my opinion as another musician (I also play guitar) and I like the tone Gus G uses and his style I'm not basing my opinion on what everyone else says I just know what I talk about, but if you think RR is the best Ozzy has to offer than more power to you.

That is your opinion. Jake is my fav. His technical skill is great, so is his attitude.

I have found that staccato is a far harder technique to master. It doesn't make it better than legato just harder to play. They both produce different sounds which is up to the guitarist and the listener to which they prefer. I enjoy both techniques very much. I was just trying to say that i find Gus to be like many other players. I could not distinguish his playing upon listening where I could easily identify Zakk upon hearing a few notes.
