2009 Ram 5.7 Had the same issue with the gas cap light and small evap code. I changed this same part with the Dorman and it didn’t fix it. Also changed the purge solenoid which didn’t fix it. MAKE SURE to smoke both the front and the back end. My issue was the Rollover Valve which is in the gas tank. The Rollover Valve is really brittle and breaks and can give the same code. Had to drop the gas tank to get to it which costs me about $300 just to locate the problem. Check the filler neck line also bc it’s connected to the rollover valve. Start with a smoke so that you don’t go changing parts and spending money you don’t need to. If it’s not the ESIM or the Purge Solenoid(2 cheapest fixes), check the rollover valve and filler neck connected to the gas tank. Located on top of the gas tank.

I have a 2007 ram 1500 4.7 I had the same problem changed it out and it fixed the problem. FYI make sure to change the gasket also.

Mopar part number 0486 1962 AD (Evap Systems Module). The aftermarket part at NAPA "Solutions" "Dorman" part number 776-5385-1 (Evap Integrity Module). Amazon aftermarket brand "Dorman" model number 310-215 (Evaporative Emissions System Leak Detection Pump).

Great vid. Is this part on all dodge products. Have a 2013 caravan and haven’t been able to get rid of gas cap messages. On third gas cap counting the original. Positive it’s got anything to do with the cap

someone should add, that on a Chrysler Aspen, you can't get to this without taking off the plate on the bottom
