The bit that gets me in this scene is when Raleigh climbs out of the wrecked Jaeger. He's stumbling around, and all he can hear is the flatline tone from Yancy's neural link. Half of him has just been torn away...

Losing his brother. He spends years afterwards numbed, basically sleepwalking through life. It's only when he Drifts with Mako Mori and sees what she suffered as a child that he starts to feel again.

I hope that Guillermo del Toro never dies, because Pacific Rim should become a big franchise under his supervision. In the second movie, I thought that the movie flopped because of John Boyega, but what Guillermo del Toro touches turns into gold. I'm looking forward to the third movie and the series.

@@lordofthegalaxy2443 the moment I see some bullshit like kids piloting a gah damh jeager and some junky salvager dude joining the pdpc all the sudden and being able to almost immediately pilot a jeager... I knew by just looking at all the designs. So much bullshit, loved the first movie more to be honest. Had that more good old times atmosphere to it, better than that crappy uprising. Yeah, uprising can't be a pacific rim movie in my opinion. It just bullshat the future of pacific rim movies.

Funnily enough, this track isn't actually the one that play's during Striker's death. The actual track is called 'Taker Her To The Breach' but is a rearranged version of this composition which is why it sounds slightly similar. Still, both tracks are incredible.

No joke I saw this in cinema’s and I was on the brink of crying I thought I wasn’t but then Hercules Hanson said: “This is Marshall Hercules Hanson. The breach is sealed. Stop the Clock!” And I just lost it. 😂🥲 for me personally i just thought about striker Eureka and Chuck and stacker.

Raleigh was ping through a lot. He felt his arm get ripped off, getting stabbed in the chest, and dealing with the physical pain of piloting ALONE and dealing with the emotional pain of watching, feeling, and dealing with the loss of his brother and piloting for 5-6 hours?! How is he not dead?

Where is the version of this song actually used in the film? When the camera pans up from the beach where gypsy has fallen, the score is much more arpeggiated and epic sounding in general then this version. Can anyone help?? thanks

I see what you mean, I HATE when movies do that, having an awesome score IN the movie, then the soundtrack is released and while it DOES sound good, it's obviously heavily edited or edited in a way that even if you wanted to make your own version, you couldn't do it. Hopefully they'll do what the TF movies do and release an "extended edition".

look out for the damn train I don’t think so, they’re just quoting what Mako says to Stacker before he dies. It’s actually really heartfelt as it means “I love you, teacher,” but “aishitemasu” is only used for a loved on on their deathbed
