There are a LOT of clamps at The Home Depot that don't have the pads. I guess someone else "needed" them and felt free to steel them.

Virtually every Bessey woodworking clamp, and certainly those at HD, should have pads when you buy them. Be sure to ask before you buy.

I bought 4 of the Bessey Revo clamps yesterday and drove home only to notice one of the clamps was missing the pad. Back to the store for an exchange.
