Thank you Diane. Your videos and watching my cat rescue videos keeps me going and fighting for hope. I had been scammed again recently and every which way wants to tear me down into the ground. I only have so much energy to survive and continue to fight but there's no fight left in me anymore. Just prayer and good people in my path. More than ever we need the message of oeace, and this lovely dove expresses it joyfully. Love the colors and embellishments in white. My porch studio,whuch has winiws facing south, stays very warm during the day as long as the temperature is in the 40s so I need to get painting. Thank you. ❤

Another wonderful winner, Diane. I had to give up my printer a few years ago upon retirement because the ink was no longer doable in the budget. So I wish someone would come out with a water-coloring book with actual watercolor paper. I know it would be a bit pricey but for slow people like me it would be worth the spurge. I can pretty well bet I'm not the only one with the idea and we'd like you to be the 1st to publish one such tome LOL. Anyway have a wonderful day! PS If you know such a thing exists, please let me know. Tfs

Hi Kathy, would you buy pre-printed sketches on watercolor paper from our website if we offered it? I could print them here and send them in the post - it’s a great idea. Would they have to be bound in a book, or would you buy them just a loose sheets? On 140lb cotton watercolor paper, in 8 x 10 or 5 x 8 size…. Let me know what you think !!

Where I live the library has a printer connected to computers with Internet. If you only occasionally need to print something it is much more inexpensive than having a printer and ink at home.

⁠⁠@@DianeAntoneStudioGreat idea, @DianeAntoneStudio! Start with the small book and see how it goes … or, print on demand. I would use loose sheets, as it’s easier to work on and could be ‘bound’ after the fact at a local copy shop. That way they could be in the order I choose as well. Thanks for considering the idea. 😊😊

Just an FIY on printers...many of us have printers that will not handle 140 pound watercolor paper. Ink cartridges are expensive and don't last long. I purchased an Epson EcoTank printer (ET-2750) 4 years ago and the ink is dispensed into the reservoirs from a small bottle, no cartridges. The 4 ink tanks are about 3/4 empty and I am just now needing to replace my bottles of ink...4 years of usage! I don't print photos so the ink is just from every day use. $58 bought me a set of Epson (no knock-off ink, too risky) three primary colors and one bottle of black ink. (always sold separate from the set of 3). I have printed 90 pound watercolor paper (Canson Aquarelle) and it worked OK. This paper will not handle a lot of water like for wet washes but is OK for some uses. I print one sheet at the time, don't want to ruin my printer trying to use heavy paper.

This is a darling bird. It would be cute with a wreath around his neck. Once you open those gel pens you have to use them all the time it seems or they quit. I just use gouache and a size 0 brush or dotter type thing. Thank you, Diane. This turned out really cute. P.S. It's in the teens in Illinois,US. Even my Westie didn't dilly dally this morning😅

I’m totally with you Diane on the white pen issues. Like you have spent many hard earnt dollars on a range of brands. All work for 5 minutes once they have been jumped up and down on the paper a little, then it’s maybe, then some may puddle a little and scratch a vagues line, then they just chuck the towel in altogether and go home. Very frustrating. Grrrrr. Love the peace dove.

I’m going to try using a dab of glycerin on the nib. Someone suggested it might help the ink flow… we’ll see!

Love this! I fight with my white pen, want to stomp it sometimes. I find the angle I hold the pen makes a difference in how it writes. I scribble on a scrap of paper first then give it a try. Holding the pen exactly upright works best but that makes it hard to do very detailed work. AAAHHHH!!!!!

Working on 2nd try of this. I'm not yet very creative when it comes to the embellishments (or any of it, if I'm honest) but did think of one that would work nicely on this if you're going to do it again. The peace symbol. I'm not sure if it is as recognizable in the UK as in the USA though. I love watching you work and hearing you voice your thoughts as you work out a piece. Thank you so much for sharing. ☮

Bonjour Diane , j aime bien ton oiseau , il est tres beau , moi il me faut au moins 2h pour faire ca , je sais que je suis pas rapide . Les signo uni ball blanc ils vont bien quand ils sont neuf et il faut les chauffer un peu si il fait froid , sur le radiateur ou dans l eau bouillante , mais ils sont capricieux de toute maniere par contre ils sont bien couvrant et sur du papier noir ils sont top . Sinon tu peux toujours prendre un porte plume et de l encre blanche , moi j ai Pebeo parce que c est d ici , et elle est bien couvrante on peut la diluer avec juste un peu d'eau si elle trop epaisse et elle reste bien couvrante . Je te dis a demain il me reste un oeil pour regarder 10mn pas plus . Bises mon amie

The card is lovely. I also would be interested in purchasing printed pages. I don’t have a printer. I did download $12 worth of prints. They showed up once and then I could never find them again. Really, I am rubbish at this computer stuff.

Right? The computer printing aspect is a completely different thing all on its own! 😂 I just spend the time making a mock-up in my mixed media book until I get it right. I guess a 'coloring' book would be a good idea, but I'll probably just keep doing what I do for now.
