Today I'm painting a beginner friendly Loose Canol (oilseed rape) field and distant trees, with a lone tree in the field, and depth and distance as the focus. For colours and brushes used, watch the video, but use whatever similar colours and brushes you have, as the exact same colours and brushes are not necessary, the methods can be achieved with any tools with a bit of thought and practice.

I'm using Millford 100% cotton hot press 140lb/300g weight paper, 11" x 15"/28cms x 38cms, my paper is taped to my board with ordinary decorators masking tape and is at an angle of about 45 degrees so gravity will help me paint.

Where I live we have many many canola fields. The yellow of the canola flower is breathtaking. Love your interpretation!

I don't have a stipling brush (?) so I used a sea sponge and it sorta worked to give the effect. I have never seen a canola field but painting this was fun. thank you.
