• CLAY I USE: Laguna red low fire earthen ware clay without grog. (EM106 or EM334 wards)
• Firing (Bisque) at cone 06. (I don't own a kiln, so I take my pieces to a pottery studio close by and get it fired in an electric kiln there)
• Wire used: Nichrome wire gauge 28 for stick beads and ghungroo beads; gauge 26 for earrings and 24 for pendants.

Thank you so much! 😊 Honestly if you work with clay you might find the sessions repetitive. With regard to fine tuning, the only way to do that is practice and creativity. I am here to help with ideas, but you can always elevate that design to suit your style & personality.

I tried making the small beads but when I tried making a hole, the round shape didn't stay intact due to the pressure. Could you suggest anything? I used fevicryl clay.

That's common especially if you are only starting off. Practice makes it better. You could also try using a shaper hole making tool instead of a refill. That helps some people. Let the bead not be too dry, it cracks. And let it not be too moist, it distorts shape. You ll get it. Keep practicing. :)

I have a doubt mam when i bake the jewelry it turns out black along with the U-PIns and new pins would be shinny which we attach later after painting... there is a visible difference... in this case what to do mam.... plz guide me...

Thank you so much I have a few suggestions: Firstly, try using nichrome wires for u-pins, stick beads & ghungroo beads(basically for anything pre-firing). Get the firing done in an electric kiln. Post firing you can use eye-pins and head pins for assembling.

Hello, You can try gauge 24 or even gauge 22. But 24 should work.
