I love these, Joe. The underwater dolphin painting is what got me following you in the first place. You are great at painting any subject, but there is a special sort of magic you are able to convey when you paint an underwater scene.

It's amazing how quickly you cover the canvas and all the perspective, colours and depth all just works out.

WOW Joe, amazing painting, one of my favourites of all I've seen you do so far. Was that a commission or did you do it for a tutorial or just some lucky person/place? Curious on your thoughts to the underwater section, do you think it would look a bit more "realistic" if you did a very light blueish tint over it? I have to admit, grabbed a screen shot of it for a wallpaper and the underwater looked a bit too bright to me, so took it on P'shop and added the light, 15% tint and really like it like that. Just went back in to edit the "adjusted" image because I was zoomed in when I added the blue/cyan layer and then realised what was "wrong" about the image for me, too much red - even close to the surface you never get really bright reds like above the water, there is always colour distortion. Also reduced the tint to about 10% and found that looked even better.
